SD and Micro SD cards Kioxia SDXC EXCERIA PLUS 256 GB - Review

KIOXIA has just launched a series of high-capacity SDXC cards designed for use in high-quality photography. The promise is that they can even easily support the writing speed necessary to record in 4K now that even mid-range mobiles can record at 4K with 24fps, in addition to many cameras or action cameras.
For this review we have put both KIOXIA SDXC EXCERIA PLUS 256 GB cards in different benchmarks to have firm figures for their transfer, read and write capabilities. We take as a reference that we are promised 100 MB / s of reading and 85 MB / s of writing.
We are grateful to Kioxia for giving us the material to do the review.

Conclusion
Here we are interested that the cards, both the microSD and the normal SD of the KIOXIA SDXC EXCERIA PLUS comply with what was promised in the specifications, and that thanks to this they are made for 4K video recording. Tests in several benchmarks confirm that there is hardly any difference from what was promised in performance, and there is even a little more speed of writing. If there is a little less speed of reading, the difference is hardly noticeable. With the data we have, these two cards are made and used for 4K video recording.
The fact that there are two models offers a certain choice: the normal-size KIOXIA SDXC EXCERIA PLUS has protection against high temperatures and shock, while the KIOXIA microSDXC EXCERIA PLUS has protection against water if the mobile is dropped into a pool or puddle, and makes it ideal for action cameras that are often used to record underwater videos.
