First impressions of the new Battle Royale mode implemented in Counter Strike Global Offensive, which has also become Free-to-Play
A few hours ago and by surprise Valve has announced that Counter Strike Global Offensive receives a new Battle Royale mode and also this game becomes free and those who already had the title before this moment receive the Prime mode 'free', that will allow you to have preferential access to the games and face other users who also have this function.
It is clear that Valve has not come to invent gunpowder, they have simply taken a game mode that is currently hitting it and that most shooters on the market have begun to implement to attract users. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds was the first game to hit it and implement this game mode, which was imitated by Fortnite that became Free-to-Play, going from having little success to generating millions and millions thanks simply to cosmetic elements for the characters . The Counter Strike Global Offensive, which implements the new Danger Zone mode, joins this growing trend.
We currently had the Deathmatch mode, Casual with bomb disposal or hostage rescue, Competitive and War Games which is divided into Demolition, Shoe Hunters and War Games. Now the Battle Royale mode is added, which as we say is called Danger Zone and is a fairly complete and complex map that allows only sixteen players, but the good thing is that the games are quite dynamic and fast.
Well, although it is true that it is far from the 100 players of Fortnite or PUBG, the truth is that it is quite entertaining and it is quite complex to finish the game. But Valve has innovated a bit in this field, since the weapons are in boxes that cannot be opened in any way, we will see drones fly, bombs fall, we must be very careful, because there are hidden automated submachine guns and the map is it shrinks, but it is not circular, they are dropped by a kind of bombs that release a gas that advances and kills us if we are in the area that floods.
We are interested in highlighting the different boxes that we will find on this map:
- Loose items: We will find some simple weapons such as pistols, knife, ax or wrench on the ground, as well as some grenade and armor.
- Blue box: It can include a knife, ax or wrench, blinding grenades and an adrenaline pen that allows us to recover part of life. We can easily punch it open.
- Yellow box: It includes explosives that we can explode from a distance, explosive, incendiary, blinding and smoke grenades. We can easily punch it open.
- Small red box: Contains all kinds of varied pistols with very little ammo. To open it we need at least a knife, spanner or ax.
- Big red box: It can contain light machine guns, rifles or shotguns. To open it we need at least a knife, spanner or ax.
- Booster box white and orange: Contains sniper rifles.
To open it we need at least a knife, spanner or ax. - Ammo box: The weapons come with very few bullets and around the map we will find ammunition boxes that give us some extra bullets, approximately a dozen bullets.
Besides these boxes we can also buy weapons. We will find waste money on the map and little by little money is added to us. We can open the store and buy different weapons, pistols, grenades, shields and ammunition, as well as some accessories for the tablet that lets us see the map. Any of the things we buy is transported by drone and we must be very careful, because drones reveal our position instantly and can give us a good little note.
Until now we had always parachuted, but in this case we choose the point where we can land, generating a radius in which there can be no other enemy and quickly arm ourselves. Once all the participants have chosen the zone (or the maximum time has passed to choose the descent zone) the game begins, we rappel down from the helicopter and it is time to run to arm ourselves even with a gun and keep our eyes well open.
The truth is that the new game is quite cool and gives a new vibe to CS: GO, implementing a new very attractive game mode. Possibly the best aspect of this game update is that Counter Strike Global Offensive becomes completely free, which will allow many users to enjoy this shooter, which we can already consider classic.
