Unboxing Cooler Master MH670
The Cooler Master MH670 gaming headphones are characterized by coming in the typical dark gray box with a purple area. The purple color is the representative of the brand and can be seen in all its packaging. We see an image of the headphones on the front and we are also told that they are wireless and with virtual 7.1 sound
If we turn around, in the back we see another image where the headphones appear, in this case with several highlights. They highlight the microphone that is removable, the adaptive foams, the audio control system and the wireless USB.
Inside the box we find the headphones in a plastic support to prevent them from being damaged. We see how they are secured with the typical plastic coated wire to prevent them from moving. We can see in the left area a microphone, which is removable to be able to use them in other environments, in addition to gaming.
The central area hides the charging cable for these headphones as well as a jack cable to connect it in a wired way if we need it. We also found the 2.4GHz band Wireless USB stick for a wireless connection. A small USB Type A female adapter is added to a USB Type C male to connect our headphones to a smartphone. This adapter allows us to use these headphones on a smartphone without major problems.
Cooler Master MH670 design
These Cooler Master MH670 gaming headphones go for a fairly conventional design. They have been designed to be a sober, functional element with a fairly good sound quality. Their main characteristic is that they are wireless, something that users tend to demand more and more frequently.
Both earbuds are black with the Cooler Master logo in silver in the center. These headphones have something curious and that is that on the outer edge they have a discrete RGB strip. Comparing it to other RGB headphones, these are very sober, being a decorative strip that attracts attention but is not at all garish. Also, since it is very subtle RGB lighting, the battery consumption is low.
Although they are quite similar to the MH650s, they lack a micro-perforated pad. This is entirely made of synthetic leather, something that adds comfort but implies less perspiration. When we are playing for many hours this can become a problem, since the lack of breathing of the skin can cause sweating. Inside we can also see that the left earphone is marked with an 'L' and the right earphone with an 'R', as is usual.
We see how the Cooler Master MH670 headband is covered by the same synthetic leather. In this case it is a bit indifferent, since a closed space is not generated and it is a relatively narrow strip. The thickness and padding of this area of the headband is very good and it is really comfortable.
The left earphone in this case offers us quite a few functionalities. It has a wheel to adjust the input sound, the option to mute the microphone, a connector to connect these headphones by cable to the PC, smartphone or console and the connector for the microphone. The right earbud has the charging connector, the button to activate or deactivate the 7.1 sound and the power button of the same.
Features Cooler Master MH670
The Cooler Master MH670 headphones have two main features: they can work without the need for cables and they have virtual 7.1 sound. These two possibilities make these gaming headsets a great alternative for video game fans. They are compatible with PC, smartphone, tablet, console and other platforms, allowing them to be used beyond that for gaming
We can use them on PC without the need for cables thanks to the 2.4GHz USB module, which is also compatible with the console. It is as simple as putting the module on the platform we want, turning them on and nothing else, the pairing is totally automatic.
These headphones offer the possibility of being connected through a jack connector, which offers the possibility of connecting it to smarpthone or tablets. The jack connector has a small projection that fixes the cable by means of a small rotation and prevents it from coming out by accident. It does not require, in this mode, that we turn on the headphones, they work directly and it should be noted that the virtual 7.1 system is not available.
If you still need another type of connectivity, these headphones allow you to connect via USB port. The cable has a USB Type A connector and a USB Type B connector at the other end. This cable offers us the possibility of charging the headphones, it allows connecting them to a smartphone using the USB Type A to USB Type C port adapter.

Conclusion
These Cooler Master MH670 gaming headphones offer a fairly balanced sound, better than the other versions of these headphones. They offer us good quality bass, they offer very clear mid and treble tones that generate good sound quality without distortion. Having up to three connection possibilities is another of the great options of these gaming headphones, being compatible with all types of platforms.
One of the weakest aspects of these headphones is that the virtual 7.1 sound offers overly oversized highs. Treble has been boosted for enemy positional ambient sound. If we are not going to play a multiplayer shooter title, it is better to opt for stereo sound, especially to listen to music or watch a movie.
- Finished with synthetic leather
- Wireless connectivity, USB Type A to USB Type C connectivity and jack connector
- Wireless connectivity offers good distance
- The sound is very balanced with very good quality bass
- The jack connector has an anchoring system for safety
- Has removable microphone
- It can be used wirelessly or with a jack cable, in the latter without having to turn on the headphones
- Subtle and elegant RGB lighting
- Treble on virtual 7.1 system may be over exaggerated
- The micro-USB connector may be excessively old and it would be better to opt for a USB Type-C connector
