DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 HUB - Review

We tested the DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 HUB monitor lift table, which allows you to turn on the computer from it and includes USB ports and sound jack connectors

It is quite typical in offices to see monitors on several packs of folios to raise the height of the monitor. But there are solutions to optimize the height of the monitors without the need for something like that. This can be easily achieved with the DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 HUB. This monitor lift system brings additional features and elements. It has a button with which we can turn on the computer, audio connectors, USB ports and allows you to free up space by putting the keyboard underneath.

Thanks to DeepCool for lending us this monitor support

Unboxing DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 HUB

DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 front case

We see on the front of the box an image of what this table would be to raise the height of the monitor. Already here we can see some of the additional features that it offers us, such as the USB HUB. It also stands out on the front that it is an easy system to assemble (something that we can corroborate)

DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 back box

The back of this table to raise the monitor gives us some additional data. The mounting system and the connectivity it offers are specified. The truth is that the fact of implementing additional functions gives it a plus. It also stands out that this table supports monitors up to 27 inches

DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 Open Box

The DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 HUB box is interesting, since the system occupies very little. The legs arrive disassembled to save volume, something that is logical. Assembling them takes less than 5 minutes, so it won't be a problem either. We also see the cables, which are integrated into this monitor lift stand.

DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 unboxing

Inside the box we will find on one side the board and the cables, which cannot be removed. A bag with an Allen key and the four screws to anchor the legs. We also have the two legs, which come with non-slip rubbers to prevent the base from moving.

Regarding the cables, we have:

  • USB 3.0 female cable to connect to a USB 3.0 port on our motherboard
  • 3.5mm jack connector for sound and microphone
  • A cable that connects to the motherboard to be able to turn on the computer from the table

DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 HUB design

DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 mounted table

The design of this monitor table is understated and elegant, with an anti-fingerprint finish. The table is made of aluminum, which gives it great resistance. To give us an idea, it supports up to 25 kilos of weight, which is much more than most monitors (and even computers)

DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 jack connector

Something that is very practical is the lateral connectivity of this DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 HUB. Above all, we find two aspects interesting: the USB 3.0 HUB and the computer's power button. In addition, all the elements on this side are characterized by having white LED lighting, a great detail.

DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 connection cables

As we can see, the cables are already natively placed under this table. This can be interesting if we are going to use them all. It may be that some user has no interest, for example, in using the power button on the table or makes use of an Intel NUC that does not offer the possibility of use. It would be better if these came independent and were connected by some type of connector.

DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 legs mounted

Assembling the legs is something really simple that we can do in just a few minutes. Four screws and an Allen key have been inserted in the package for assembly. It's all we need (besides the legs themselves).

Features DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 HUB

DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 connector on

Something that makes this table stand out is that it has a power button for the computer. In order to use it, we must connect this table to the motherboard. We see that it has a PCI anchor that allows the connection to the motherboard, acting as a pass-through. In addition, it includes a female connector that connects to the ports on the motherboard for power on. A connector with the pins is included so that we can also turn on the computer from the power button of the chassis.

DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 lighting

We can see a very interesting aspect of this table and that is that it has lighting in the connectors. This is especially useful at night or in low light. I don't just know light up USB 3.0 ports, also the sound and microphone jack connectors and the power button.

Indicate that for the lighting to work we have to connect the USB cable to a USB 3.0 port on our motherboard.

DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 hidden keyboard table

Under this monitor riser DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 HUB we can store the keyboard if we need it. We have under this table a useful space of 530mm long, 76mm high and 250mm deep. This leaves room for any gaming keyboard on the market.

Conclusion

We find the DeepCool M-Desk F3 USB 3.0 HUB monitor riser to be a much better solution than typical folio bundles. Not only because it allows us to gain space to write on paper or for anything else, but also because of the additional functions it offers. We gain 4 USB 3.0 ports, we have more accessible jack connectors and we can even turn on the computer from this table.

Although it is specified that it supports monitors up to 27 inches, as long as the monitor stand does not protrude from the table and does not weigh more than 25 kilos, we can install larger monitors without problems.

The only downside we've been able to find with this monitor table is the cabling. If we use it in an office and we have a compact computer such as an Intel NUC mounted behind the monitor, the power option that is included may not interest us. It would be better if everything was removable at one point. We are sure that you will take this note into consideration for future reviews of this system.
