Review: Cooler Master MasterPulse Over-Ear Headphones
We analyzed the Cooler Master MasterPulse Over-Ear headphones, which offer excellent quality and performance, as well as customization of the headphone covers.
To enjoy the games, you not only need a quality keyboard and mouse, you also need quality headphones that allow us to hear our surroundings perfectly and know if an enemy is approaching. If you are a demanding user and you are looking for quality headphones, Cooler Master has thought of you and has developed the Cooler Master MasterPulse Over-Ear, high quality headphones that isolate us from the environment so that we can concentrate on what matters, our departure.
These headphones are not simply a headset for gamers, they are much more. These headphones have side panels, which when we remove them the sound is improved in the lower frequencies, which allows to significantly enrich the bass. When the side panels are connected, what is achieved is that the bass levels are balanced and adjusted. The most notable thing about these panels is that they unite the gaming world with the maker world, since we can print the side panels with a 3D printer and customize them, which we can download from the Cooler Master website.
The MasterPulse Over-Ear headphones have been designed to completely cover the ear of the players, which is why an atrium of no less than 44mm has been created. These have a comfortable pad, a fundamental element so that we do not end up getting tired of wearing it or that our ears hurt after wearing them for a long time. Cooler Master has taken care of all aspects of this headset, from the design, to the comfort for long periods of use.
Something very interesting is the control system that these headphones integrate. This system allows not only to control the volume, raising or lowering the volume. It also has control of the microphone, allowing the activation or deactivation of the same, as we need. Cooler Master has wanted to put it in a more accessible area and where the route is less, since it is at chest level and does not happen like in other headphones that you have to move your arm to the head. The travel is shorter and this allows you not to waste so much time making small adjustments.
Although we cannot see it with the naked eye, this headset has a microphone, the only thing that is hidden in the left atrium. Cooler Master wanted the MasterPulse Over-Ear to be different and have the microphone hidden, that's why they installed an omnidirectional microphone. The problem with this type of microphones, with respect to the unidirectional ones, is that it captures all the sounds of the environment, while the unidirectional ones are more selective and limited. Their response is still excellent, despite this small detail. Regarding the technical characteristics, apart from being an omnidirectional cut-off microphone, it has a frequency response between 100Hz and 10kHz. The sensitivity of this microphone is -34dB with a tolerance of 3dB.
They are not only intended to be used on the computer. The MasterPulse use a three-pole jack connector, which means that the first two are in charge of dual channel sound management and the third is in charge of the microphone. For systems that do not support these types of configurations, Cooler Master adds an adapter to make the division between the two, leaving one jack for microphone and the other for sound.
Among the most outstanding characteristics regarding the sound of these headphones, we must highlight that they are analog type headphones and also have 50Ω amplifiers. These headphones work in a frequency range between 20Hz and 20kHz, with a sensitivity of 118dB with the side panels on and without them, the sensitivity drops to 109dB, with a tolerance of 3dB, offering an output power of 100mW.
This is a high-quality and very robust gaming headset, which is excellent for gaming fans. The headphone cord is extremely flat and elegant, in red, which looks great against the black and dark grays of these headphones. That we can customize the retractable side covers through 3D printing is excellent and a very interesting detail. They have a very reasonable price, which becomes an ideal solution for those who want extreme quality headphones for a reasonable price.
