We analyze the Nox Hummer TGS gaming chassis, a solution developed for gaming, with tempered glass windows and front and an extremely compact design.
It is a trend in the market, the towers with tempered glass and with lighting, being an interesting solution, for those who want to have a striking equipment. One of the most prominent manufacturers is Nox, who offers entry-level and mid-range solutions, with good quality and really reasonable prices. This Nox Hummer TGS is a chassis with excellent performance, which has been designed for ATX and micro-ATX motherboards and has fans with LED lighting and a window and front panel made of tempered glass.
The main characteristics of this Nox Hummer TGS is that it has been developed in 0.5mm SPCC steel for the entire chassis, except for the side and front panel, based on tempered glass. To make the chassis more striking, two blue LED fans have been installed on the front, which have the mission of offering good air flow. Something very interesting is that the chassis is located in the upper area of the tower and is compatible with most of the hardware that we can find on the market.
One of the most important parts of any chassis worth its salt is the design. The design of this chassis is very clean and sober, something that is appreciated. The color note is set by the two blue Hummer H-FAN LED fans. These fans have dimensions of 120x120x25mm, which operates at 1.600RPM, providing an air flow of 60CFM, a static pressure of 1.81mmH2O, with a total loudness of 27.5dBA. The blades are semi-transparent, specially designed for blue LED lighting, based on a total of 33 LEDs.
Internally, it has more than enough space for all the hardware that we want to install. This chassis has been developed thinking about ATX and micro-ATX format motherboards. Something quite characteristic of Nox chassis is that the power supply is installed in the upper area. Regarding the space available for the most problematic components, which are the graphics card and the cooler, by size. The chassis has space for a 158mm high heatsink and the length of the graphics card is 360mm, maximum.
Perhaps, the most problematic part of this chassis is the limitation it has regarding storage units. There is room for just two 3,5 "drives and room for a 2,5" drive. The great problem with this chassis is precisely its total dimensions, which are 180x410x360mm, and of course, with these very limited dimensions, the possibilities are greatly reduced and the quantities of units have been limited. Perhaps, in the space between the front fans is the motherboard, you could install space for another solid state hard disk drive, but hey.
The connectivity, we must recognize that it is very good, since for USB ports we have a 2-1 configuration, or what is the same, two USB 2.0 ports and only one USB 2.0, although it is already much more than other chassis on the market, that normally only have space for two USBs.
We quite liked this Nox Hummer TGS chassis, which offers quality and design at a very reasonable price and has been thought of users who want a gaming device that stands out and that will surely have internal LED lighting. What we do not like is the great limitation in terms of hard disk drives, admitting only two HDDs and an SSD, something that limits it, but for the average user, who mounted a gaming equipment and mounted an SSD and a HDD or as a lot, two solid state hard drives, may be more than enough.
