Review: MSI Clutch GM60 gaming mouse

We analyze the MSI Clutch GM60 gaming mouse that has interchangeable parts as well as Mystic Light synchronization.

Mice are an essential part when it comes to enjoying video games and a good mouse allows us to enjoy a great gaming experience, which is why it is important that it be of quality, ergonomic and reliable. MSI is one of the leading manufacturers of motherboards, graphics cards and other components, such as peripherals, and today it gives us the MSI Clutch GM60, a mouse designed by and for gaming that has RGB Mystic Light technology.

As we can see, the packaging of this MSI Clutch GM60 is based on the packaging that begins to be typical in the case of mice with a resistant cardboard box that opens like a book and that inside has the mouse with a plastic protection that leaves us see the mouse. The peculiarity in this case is that it has two 'windows' and in one we have the mouse and the other interchangeable parts of it, so that it adapts as much as possible to the needs of the users.

Inside of course we find the MSI Clutch GM60 mouse, but we also find two USB cables with different lengths, we also have two ergonomic sides so that we can change them with the ones that come with the factory mouse and a replacement for the upper panel to change it if it wears out or We see that this other is better suited to our needs.

We have been struck by this mouse that has two interchangeable side panels, something rare, since gaming mice are usually only equipped with an interchangeable side panel. The new sides add more surface for the placement of the fingers compared to the standard mouse, something that may be interesting for some users. As we said, the top panel that is added is designed to replace the one that comes from the factory when it wears out due to use and the passage of time.

The design is pretty, but it's not out of this world either. What we did like is that it combines plastic elements with metallic elements that give the set more robustness and a quality finish. Perhaps the most negative thing is the weight of the mouse, which is 170 grams and cannot be adjusted and depending on what type of games or users, this can become a real problem, since although it offers precision it remains at the time of make sudden movements. The mouse has a total dimensions of 130.3 × 65.5x39mm, falling within a medium size.

MSI Clutch GM60 works only by cable, which has a USB connector and can be disassembled, something that improves transport possibilities and even change the cable in the event that it can be broken by any circumstance. MSI adds two cables of different lengths to suit those who will use it for desktop and laptop.

We find the mouse scroll, quite large and made of rubber to prevent it from accidentally slipping and just below it we find a button to change the DPI. It also has two side buttons on each side, so it has eight programmable buttons for all kinds of actions. It is striking that it is a symmetrical mouse so it is perfect for left-handed users.

We move on to the mouse sensor, a crucial element and we find the PixArt PWM 3330 optical sensor that allows the sensitivity adjustment between 100 DPI and 10.800 DPI. We see that the sensor has a polling rate of 1000Hz to offer great precision and reliability in terms of operation.

We are now closing the review of the MSI Clutch GM60 mouse, highlighting that it is a very interesting solution that allows adjustment and customization, with an optical sensor that will delight the most demanding. The most negative part is found in the weight of the mouse, since it weighs excessively and cannot be adjusted, which is usually ideal for video game fans. The price, which is around € 100, has also seemed excessive for a mouse that, despite being very good, is nothing to write home about.
