Review: Bonitronic Chameleon lighting system
We analyze the Bonitronic Chameleon lighting system, a rather curious device that will delight the little ones in the house.
It is not the typical product that we usually bring for review, but from time to time you want to face a different product than something fun that is not purely hardware. In this case the guys at Bonitronic have sent us the Chameleon 1 light fixture and an additional set of triangles. This lighting system looks like some that we can see in gaming setups, but in this case the triangles are smaller.
We are talking rather about an electronic toy designed to decorate or for the little ones in the house and it has some very interesting operating modes. The most attractive without a doubt is that we can make the design we want by putting and removing parts and even synchronizing our central units, allowing endless possibilities.
Among the most interesting modes is the automatic mode, which detects the passage of a person and then turns on, the custom on mode in which you choose the order in which the triangles are turned on and the game mode, which imitates the famous game where a piece is turned on and you have to press it, thus following the different patterns that are generated.
We also have the breathing mode, which is the most typical one that increases and decreases the amount of light generated by the device, the Whac-A-Mole mode where the lights turn on quickly and you have to press them to turn off and the DJ mode, which makes effect of disco lights.
Clearly the Bonitronic Chameleon 1 is a funny device, although it has an important drawback and that is that this device does not have a battery, it works with batteries (at least the model they sent us) and we consider that quite negative. For the rest, it is a rather funny and curious thing, although it is true that the price is quite prohibitive, since the basic system of hub and six pieces costs € 59 in Amazon.
