Experience and conclusion
After testing it on various devices, we are truly convinced of its quality, usefulness and ease of use. In meetings with other people through Skype, Discord and videoconferencing we have noticed a notable improvement in the sound quality of calls. After several tests, we have noticed that it works exceptionally well when we activate the bass equalizer, which we can say that it sounds practically perfect. If we're into tinkering and sound testing, we have dedicated software for experimenting with EQ profiles.
The promise of intelligently cutting off ambient noise when not speaking is delivered to perfection, so we can easily say goodbye to background noise in recordings. The only problem we have had with the acoustic cancellation of the Sound Blaster Play 4 is that when there are moments of a lot of ambient noise, the voice we receive or record comes to sound somewhat robotic, but these are exceptional cases and if we are very demanding with the quality of sound.
Its installation and use is surprisingly easy as it is plug and play, and not only on PC, but on mobile phones, tablets and consoles such as PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. In terminals such as mobiles and tablets that are entering the low range we have noticed a loss of power.
Apart from two very situational little inconveniences, I am largely happy with CREATIVE's Sound Blaster Play 4. A simple and really cheap solution to improve the sound on PC, mobile and consoles that has surprised us by its effectiveness. You can see the difference and the improvement in sound quality when making important work calls using Skype or just listening to some music.
