Review: Tacens Aura Pro II fans

We analyze the Tacens Aura Pro II fans, good efficiency fans that guarantee quality performance for a reasonable price, accompanied by great durability.

Having a good cooling system is very important, not only in the graphics card or the processor, but also in the chassis itself and is that a positive airflow in the tower significantly reduces the entry of dust, always and when we have adequate filters. Tacens presents the Tacens Aura Pro II 120mm fans, which offers us excellent performance and good features, as well as being compatible with PWM, so we can regulate the power at which it will work.

Tacens Aura Pro II fans have the exclusive Tacens Fluxus Pro II technology, which is an update of the Fluxus Pro system, incorporating other fans, updating through the latest technologies, to implement a significant improvement in performance, as well as offering greater durability. The advanced Fluxus Pro II system has an improved bearing system, which under certain conditions, is capable of offering an improvement in cooling. Anything that is implementations to improve the performance, efficiency and durability of the products, is always appreciated.

These new and improved Aura Pro II fans have a modular intelligent cut-off system, which allows speed adaptation. This allows us to control the speed at which the fan will operate at all times, adapting to the needs of the moment. Three operating models have been arranged, one the normal mode, a silent mode and an ultra-silent mode, which allows us to obtain the best possible performance with the minimum noise. The fans have a PWM system, which allows a more efficient adaptation, through direct control from the motherboard.

Regarding the three modes of operation of the Tacen Aura Pro II 120mm, we must emphasize that the normal mode offers us a minimum speed of 700rpm and can reach a maximum of 1500rp. Regarding the air flow, this can reach 48.6CFM, allows a maximum pressure of 1.18mmH2Or and the loudness values, the minimum is 9dBA and the maximum is 16dBA. Silent mode operates from 600rpm to 1200rpm, offering an airflow of 39CFM, a maximum pressure of 0.94mmH2Or and the noise level ranges from 8dBA to 14dBA. Finally, the ultra-quiet mode operates between 550rpm and 900rpm, allowing an air flow of 29.28CFM, with a maximum pressure of 0.71mmH.2Or and a minimum noise level of 7dBA and a maximum noise level of 12dBA.

These 120mm Aura Pro II fans are complemented with rubber screws, to minimize vibration and thus the noise that may be caused by this effect. The blades have also been redesigned and improved, offering up to 30% higher airflow than in other conditions. These fans have a life of 100.000 hours, a very large amount of time, much longer than many solutions on the market.

We must say of these Tacens Aura Pro II that they are a simple solution as well as efficient, without extras and without elements that many users have left over. The absurd fever of LEDs everywhere, luckily, has not yet reached these interesting fans, which offer very good performance, along with a price of about € 11. Without a doubt, it is a great option to install them in the team and get a good positive pressure in our team.
