Review: KFA2 GTX 1080 Hof Edition - Hall of Fame Edition
[nextpage title=»Introduction» ]
There are more and more graphics card assemblers on the market and today we have found the KFA2 GTX 1080 HoF edition, which without a doubt may be the best GTX 1080 on the market.
Today thanks to our colleagues and friends from coolmod, We have the great opportunity to analyze this magnificent KFA2 GTX 1080 HoF Edition graphics card, without them this review would not be possible.
Having said that, we are going to start with our complete analysis of this magnificent graphics card, and the first thing is to talk a little about who is KFA2, this brand or as it is known here in Europe, it is neither more nor less than GalaxyTech, okay, you can It may not sound familiar but we already tell you that it is a great assembler of high performance graphics cards, which only works with Nvidia.
Now that we know KFA2 a little better, it is the turn of its HoF series, Hall of Fame, which is a series of models manufactured since 2000 and which has a simple and clear objective, to assemble only components of the best possible quality, we speak from the graphic core to the simplest condenser in its assemblies.
After all this introduction toast, I think you can already get an idea of what we have in hand, so without further ado, to the mess.

Table of Contents
Packaging:
Once we have the box in our hands, the first thing we see is that it is of a large size, on the outside of it they detail the main characteristics of the graphics card.
When we open the box we find another black box inside, which when opening it will have the graphics card and all its accessories inside, but I must detail that when you open this second box you understand why the size of the box is so large, and it is It has a lot of padding, to prevent the KFA2 GTX 1080 HoF Edition from suffering any kind of mishap.
Now, with all the boxes open inside, we find the following accessories:
- The GTX 1080 HoF Edition graphics card
- 1 Extendable bar
- 1 Ring-shaped bracket to screw onto the graphics card and ring on the bar.
- 2 Molex to 8-pin PciEx power cables
- Quick installation guide
- Manual
- 1 Cardboard to hang on the door do not disturb
As you can see of the whole package, what draws the most attention is the bar and the anchor, which are very curious accessories that will prevent our card from doubling the PciEx port over time, and this is because we have between hands a graphics card of nothing more and nothing less than 229mm

Specifications:
Regarding the specifications of this KFA2 GTX 1080 HoF edition graphics card, we found some very interesting ones, but perhaps it is better to take a look at the following table.

Testing equipment
The test equipment that we have used for the different tests is the following PC and its configuration:
| Testing equipment | |
|---|---|
| cpu: | i7 4770K without OC |
| Motherboard: | asus z97 pro gamer |
| RAM | 16GB in 4 HyperX savage 1833Mhx modules |
| Main storage unit | Kingston HyperX savage 240GB SSD |
| Secondary storage unit | Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB |
| Fuente de alimentación | Aerocool 700W |
| Case | Corsair 750D Airflow Edition |
| Operating system | Windows 10 Professional 64Bits |
The games were installed on the secondary storage drive, the Seagate barracuda 2TB hard drive.
All tests were done with stock values without applying OC to either the CPU or the KFA2 GTX 1080 HoF edition graphics card.

Synthetic Benchamarks
The tests carried out on the synthetic benchmark software gave us some very peculiar figures that you can see in the following images:
The scores that these tests give us are the highest that we have obtained to date in tests of different graphic cards, being therefore the best graphic card that we have analyzed to date.

[nextpage title=»Game Testing» ]
Game testing
Although we have done many tests in games in the end we only kept 3 to show the results obtained.
As you can see, the KFA2 GTX 1080 Hof Edition has managed to move games to 4K without filters at rates above 50 FPS, but I must emphasize that those FPS have been stable and not peaks, and that in the tests we did not appreciate any type of slowdown, no jerks on the image.
We also did the tests in FULLHD 2k and 4K resolutions to fully see results in any resolution.

[nextpage title=»Overclock» ]
overclock
In the Overclock tests of the KFA2 GTX 1080 HoF Edition, we obtained very good results, although unfortunately we have lost the photo of the overclock stop and we only have a screenshot of the video we made for YouTube, but we still posted it on you here and we will comment on the results.
As you can see in the software that accompanies the KFA2 it is the xtreme utility and for some reason when we raised the frequency it was not instantly reflected in the GPU-Z, hence we can see 2 different frequencies.
But I already warned you that the frequencies given by the KFA2 Xtreme utility are correct, since when we rebooted the GPU-Z they were refreshed and synchronized correctly.
As you can see in the images the KFA2 GTX 1080 HoF Edition, we were able to put it to work at 2025Mhz without touching voltages, although we really raised it to 2050Mhz. A figure that is not bad at all, since as I have said we use the series voltages of the graphics card.

[nextpage title=»Conclusion» ]
Conclusion
After all these tests, and although we have not mentioned it before, I will tell you that I never saw the KFA2 GTX 1080 HoF edition above 69º and that is something that we must also take into account.
If we look at each aspect of this graph from the point of view of quality, it deserves an 11 out of 10, since the whole set is of extreme quality, something that is also noticeable in its price, which is slightly more than € 100 above more standard models.
A negative aspect to take into account of this graphics card is that in FULLHD resolutions and high refresh rates above 160 FPS it produces a slight sound from the inductors, better known as COIL NOISE, although it is very slight and does not disturb, and like i said only at very high refresh rates.
Even so, after seeing the results and its OC ability, I think it is worth it for great enthusiasts and OC professionals where they can find a better way to take advantage of it, although of course if we look at it from the point of view of a normal user, The outlay of € 100 extra when buying this card can also be profitable, since with its good refrigeration and OC rate it guarantees that we can take advantage of it for a few years without too much problem.
Now with all that said and again emphasizing that it is the best graphics card we have tested, would you recommend its purchase? Well, the truth is that if you are going to play 4K and edit videos, my answer is clearly YES. Those extra € 100 are offset by premium quality components and that gives it performance and durability that its smaller sisters will not have.
