ASUS DUAL RTX 2070 Super EVO OC - Review

NVIDIA's Turing architecture was the first to bring RayTracing technology to the world of video games. Each assembler chooses to customize their graphics card model, found solutions with custom PCB and heatsink. ASUS has released the DUAL RTX 2070 Super EVO OC, a graphics with a dual fan heatsink and factory overclocking. This model is characterized by being an economical solution but of very good quality.

Unboxing ASUS DUAL RTX 2070 Super EVO OC

We have on the front of this box an image of the heatsink of this graphic. It is also highlighted that high quality components have been used for this graphics card. In addition, it has undergone the ASUS 144-hour validation program that tests the performance and reliability of this graph. It has been subjected to different tests, both in games and in benchmark tools to verify that there are no problems.

The back of the box of this ASUS DUAL RTX 2070 Super EVO OC shows us its main features. The different video outputs are highlighted here, as well as the heatsink and backplate of this graphics card. It is also noted that the GPU Tweak II software works on this graph, allowing the best possible performance to be obtained.

Of course, inside we have the graphics card, which arrives very well protected. It is inside a bag to prevent it from being damaged and arriving with the damaged heatsink. It has a padded perimeter to prevent it from being damaged during the transport process.
ASUS DUAL RTX 2070 Super EVO OC Design

To avoid damaging this graphics card over time, a backplate has been installed. This does the function of preventing the graph from bending over time and causing it to break. Also, it has an underlying function and that is to aid in the dissipation of heat from the GPU. We must take into account that part of the heat from the silicon is radiated towards this side.

Any modern graphics card usually includes a bit of RGB lighting. This graphic is the simplest model of the company and the RGB could not be missing in it. The truth is that it is very subtle, since it is simply a small line on the spine of the graph that will be seen when we install it in the system. It is not much and it is very subtle, but there is that touch.

Finally, on the front of this ASUS DUAL RTX 2070 Super EVO OC we have two fans. These fans make use of 0dB technology, which is nothing more than keeping them off when the GPU is below 55ºC. Come on, as long as we don't use it in games, the fans will be off.
Features ASUS DUAL RTX 2070 Super EVO OC

This graphics card has two modes of operation. It has a 'Gaming Mode', which is the default asset that offers a base frequency of 1605MHz and reaches 1770MHz in Boost mode. In addition, it has an OC Mode that we can activate by software that raises the base frequency to 1635MHz and the Boost frequency to 1800MHz.

The ASUS DUAL RTX 2070 Super EVO OC has two powerful fans with Axial technology. Initially these fans were developed for the ASUS RoG graphics, but they have reached the single range. These fans have large blades and a block ring that increases the pressure to the point that interests us.

Regarding the video outputs, there is nothing to highlight. It has an HDMI 2.0b output and three DisplayPort 1.4 outputs, which are normal in this graph. At this point we also see a grille system that allows the air to exit through this point of the graphics card.

Let's now see the PCB of this graphics card. From this we have to highlight that it is a personalized design and that it is manufactured using a high precision process. Specifically, it makes use of Auto-Extreme technology, one of the best manufacturing processes on the market that allows welding of different components in each pass. What is achieved is to reduce the thermal stress of the components and eliminate the use of abrasive chemicals. This translates into a higher quality end product using less chemicals and less energy, therefore more of a more environmentally friendly process.

Conclusion
A graphics card is ASUS DUAL RTX 2070 Super EVO OC that offers a great value for money. It's one of the cheaper models within the family of ASUS RTX 2000 graphics cards. In addition, this graphics card offers us RayTracing capacity, something that we must take into account. This new technology is here to stay and is increasingly present in a greater number of games.
This graphics card does not have great drawbacks. It has a bit of RGB lighting, which is extremely subtle. The lighting is in the profile so it will be easily seen from outside the chassis. To get a snag, this small RGB strip is almost unnecessary, is that the truth, compared to the RGB that graphics usually have, is even ridiculous. Also note that the 'OC Mode' is a bit stressful for the graphics and generates temperature problems and is that in the end, the heatsink has two fans
- Very good gaming performance
- Graphics designed for RayTracing
- Manufacturing quality
- ASUS Graphics Integrity Verification
- 0dB technology in the fans
- It does not have an excessive consumption
- It has RGB, but in a very subtle way
- The maintenance of this graphics card is very simple
- For the 'OC Mode' the two fans stay just right
