Cougar Attack X3 RGB Unboxing
We started the review of this keyboard from the box, specifically from the front. Here we can see the keyboard that stands out against a dark background. It is indicated to us that it has a Polling Rate of 1000Hz, RGB lighting and Cherry mechanical switches.
If we turn it around, in the back we find the main features of this keyboard highlighted. We must emphasize that this keyboard is in four versions of Cherry switches, but in our case they are the MX Red. It also talks about the configuration and customization of the RGB, in addition to other information of interest.
Inside the box we find the keyboard and a small user manual. The keyboard is protected by a plastic bag, which is quite unnecessary to tell the truth. We believe that the less plastic is used, the better.

We can see that this Cougar Attack X3 RGB keyboard has a considerable size. Something interesting on the sides is that it has a ramp design, which does not cut clean. The body is made of plastic, although the central part where the keys are has a brushed aluminum design. Altogether it is a very robust and very well built keyboard.
The keycaps on this keyboard are quite large and comfortable, something that is always important. The elevation above the keyboard surface is sufficient for the travel of the mechanical switch. You can see in this image the body of the switch, which is translucent.
We miss the typical multimedia and sound keys on this keyboard. There is a large amount of space on the numeric keypad for them. Even on the top bar in black plastic they could have been installed. Instead they have been integrated into the function keys and are activated by a combination of keys, something that makes it a bit uncomfortable.

Something very curious about this keyboard is that the braided cable ends in two USB connectors. The first of the USB cables, the one with the printed keyboard, enables RGB lighting and keyboard operation. The second is designed for the effects of this same keyboard. It does not have USB ports or anything like that, it requires two connectors for the correct operation of RGB, something really rare. Cougar Indica recommends connecting the two for RGB effects, but the keyboard drawing is sufficient.
The lower part has two large pads in the lower area of the keyboard. At the top we find two plastic feet with a rubber finish to prevent slipping. It offers a very good grip, although it will move, that is inevitable unless we screw it to the table.
