Another theory is that the day after Thanksgiving is when the stores change the red numbers for black numbers or what is the same, the stores did not have a good time or lost (hence, the red numbers) and they manage to sell a lot , making their accounts positive. There is one more theory in this regard and it is that on November 19, 1975 the New York Rimes coined this term for the first time, alluding to traffic problems and all the chaos generated by the usual discounts after Thanksgiving, a very important event in the United States.
