Lounge gamer budget with the AMD Ryzen 5 2400G APU and Corsair peripherals without cables

Configuration specially developed to play in the living room from the sofa, based on the AMD Ryzen 5 2400G APU and Corsair peripherals, all of them, without cables.

We have been thinking about a gaming solution for the living room, a trend that is getting more and more popularity. The arrival of AMD's APUs, the Ryzen Raven Ridge, gives us the possibility of developing an extremely compact system and we wanted to do so. We have looked for a very good quality solution that is easily portable and in which we have all the necessary peripherals to enjoy gaming without the slightest cable that may bother us and that forces us to be excessively close to the screen. This configuration is equipment and peripherals, all from Corsair, in this case.

HARDWARE

AMD Ryzen 5 2400G 3.9GHz. We have gone to the more powerful APU, because at one point, we could install a GTX 1060 or RX 580 graphics card, to enhance gaming. The APU has four cores and eight threads of processing based on the Zen architecture and the 14nm process. The APU has Vega M graphics, specifically 11 Graphic Core, which should allow us to play at 1080p without major problems.

Gigabyte AB350N Gaming Wi-Fi. This motherboard is compatible with Ryzen APUs and we have chosen it because it has HDMI and DisplayPort output, more than enough to connect it to any television and also has 802.11 WiFi, so another cable less. The motherboard features a shielded PCIe 3.0 x16, two DDR4 DIMM socket that supports up to 32GB of RAM and features an M.2 port on the bottom. It also has RGB LED lighting.

Corsair LE200 120GB. We have opted for a high-performance, high-performance SSD, which offers TLC NAND memories and a 550Mb / s read rate and a 500Mb / s write rate, but when it comes to 4K reading, it offers up to 65.000IOPS and in 4K write up to 25.000IOPS.

Western Digital Blue 2TB 3.5 ”. For the massive storage of games and data, we have opted for this mechanical hard drive, which offers good performance at a good price and will allow us to have a large number of games.

Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x4GB 3000MHz. The idea was to have 16GB of RAM for the entire system, but due to the absurd price, we had to opt for 8GB. We have chosen it from 3000MHz, because being an APU and also based on Ryzen, the higher the frequency of the RAM, the better performance we will obtain, since the GPU of these APUs takes the memory to work from the RAM, so its frequency is very important.

Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H60 (AM4). We could have opted for a simple heatsink, but we found it interesting to opt for an RL All-in-One, instead of an air cooler. Before buying it, we must make sure that it has support for the AM4 socket, which is the socket that our APU uses. In addition, this RL allows us to do a bit of overclocking the processor, both the CPU and the GPU.

Corsair Graphite Series 380T White. We were looking for a very compact chassis, ideal to take to a friend's house or to a Lan Party and this chassis, in a mini-ITX format and with a handle, seemed perfect. Also, this chassis supports large power supplies, has RL support, and supports long graphics cards, so it seems like the perfect solution to us. The design is also very attractive.

Corsair RM550x 80Plus Gold. Here we have thought about the future and looking for a quality power supply. This 550W power supply is more than enough to power the system, but considering the installation of a dedicated GPU in the future, we have already installed a shorten power supply. It is 80Plus Gold certified and is completely modular, so it will allow us a much more efficient cable management and not have unnecessary cables in the middle, even looking for custom cables for our chassis.

PERIPHERALS

Corsair K63 Wireless Dashboard. This board has been developed by Corsair specifically for the K63 keyboard and features a mouse pad, making sofa gaming more comfortable. It seems like a very interesting and great option, that's why we have put it in our budget.

Corsair K63. The only keyboard compatible with the board is this K63, which is great. This wireless keyboard has Cherry MX Red keys and also has a blue LED backlight system, ideal for gaming at night. Logically, the keyboard is wireless.

Corsair Dark Core RGB. The overall idea of the system is that it has no cables and that is why we have opted for this Corsair wireless mouse, which allows us to connect it to the computer without hanging cables. It is ideal for gaming and for the chosen board. It has nine programmable buttons, settings up to 16.000DP, it has four RGB LED zones and the switches are high quality OMROM.

Corsair VOID PRO RGB Wireless. As the idea is that everything possible is wireless, the headphones to enjoy gaming, were not going to be less. We have opted for the Corsair VOID PRO, because they are wireless, have customizable RGB LED lighting and also a Dolby 7.1 sound system.

CONCLUSION

This is a general idea that we have developed so that we can play on the sofa at home, without cables that can cause some other disaster and that we can play anything at 1080p, thanks to this APU, saving the graphics card, that we can buy in the future, if we think so. The system with all the components and peripherals, is around € 1.200. Yes, it's a bit pricey, we get it, but there are a ton of great, high-quality components and elements here. It should be noted that the RAM is at an absurd price and the SSDs are not exactly given as gifts.

  1. Ok thanks, but where is the table with the prices? Also, if you offer purchase links, it can come in handy.

If you offer each component one or two alternatives and you do at least one synthetic test and two of known games with Dircetx, OpenGL and Vulkan, to be able to compare it and if it is multi OS, for example Dota in MS WOS in GNU / Linux and wine will inform us better.

And so we find out whether or not this configuration or part of it is worth it in price / performance.

  2. very good budget but in peripherals I would choose razer. In power supply I would go for the best evga brand and both the heatsink and the cabinet would choose the kraken m22 and case nxzt 440 razer version.
