Acer today introduced the first tablet with a Chrome operating system, the Acer Chromebook Tab 10 (D651N). The new Acer Chromebook Tab 10 is aimed at the education sector to expand and improve student learning by offering the speed, simplicity and security of Chrome in tablet form.

Students can view their class work and apps with incredible clarity and vivid color thanks to the 9,7-inch QXGA IPS touchscreen. With a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels with 264 pixels per inch, the screen offers students incredibly clear perspectives on the topics they are studying. Its slim, portable design lets you take the Acer Chromebook Tab 10 to class or anywhere for continuous learning. This means that a higher percentage of students, including younger ones with smaller hands, can use this device and enjoy its touch screen while browsing, zooming or participating in their classes.

To give students more options to interact with the Acer Chromebook Tab 10, the device comes with a Wacom EMR stylus as standard. Students can thus work accurately with interactive apps, sketch or take notes, and capture ideas to share with classmates and teachers. The Wacom EMR pointer is stored in the device chassis for safe storage. It does not require a battery and is resistant to falls.
