AMD will support, in hardware principle, for the development of Alien: Covenant VR Experience, a project based on the new Alien installment, of which there is no data.

The recent release of AMD Ryzen processors isn't the only thing that AMD has on its way. The Corporate Vice President of Alliances of AMD, Roy Taylor has announced through his Twitter account that they will work together with the audiovisual studio 20th Century Fox in the production of virtual reality content based on the movie Alien; Covenant and whose project has been dubbed Alien: Covenant VR Experience.

The new installment of the mythical Alien saga, which has been named Alien: Covenant, is scheduled to hit theaters around the world on May 19 of this year. They would be working on a virtual reality experience to complement the movie. The film Alien: Covenant is being directed by David Karlak and has Ridley Scott serving as executive producer. This film wants to return to the essence of the mythical films of the Alien saga and promises to be quite dark and terrifying.

We do not have details about what will be Alien: Covenant VR Experience and it has not been disclosed what role AMD plays in all this, but it is most likely that AMD is part of the project as hardware support, or what is the same , will be the ones who will supply the hardware to develop the VR content.
