AMD Crimson ReLive Edition 17.8.1, to replace the BETA drivers released with the AMD RX Vega

AMD releases complete drivers for the AMD RX Vega, with many bugs solved and recognizes some bugs in the BETA version drivers, but has not solved them, for unknown reasons.

After approximately a week since the launch of the AMD RX Vega 64 and the BETA drivers by AMD, which offered limited support and were riddled with bugs, AMD has released Crimson ReLive Edition 17.8.1 drivers, which address many of the issues plaguing the RX Vega series. These drivers provide support for the RX Vega series graphics cards, as well as for the Early Access versions of Quake Champions and Agents of Mayhem. [ Download Link ]


FIXED PROBLEMS


  • Some content protected applications may experience an HDCP error code while playing Blu-ray content
  • A limited number of HDR compatible televisions may experience intermittent HDMI signal loss
  • GTA V may experience an intermittent app crash
  • With Enhaced Sync enabled, video playback on desktop or YouTube playback on Google Chorme may cause intermittent playback breakage.
  • Forza Horizon 3 may experience long or extended load times
  • FreeSync displays may experience flickering when viewing video content in full screen
  • FreeSync brightness or flickering issues have been resolved on a small number of Samsung FreeSync enabled displays that may have been experiencing issues.
  • Tekken 7 may crash (Chapter 13) on some Radeon RX 380 series graphics products

KNOWN ISSUES (MEANS, THAT THEY KNOW ABOUT THEIR EXISTENCE, BUT HAVE NOT SOLVED THEM)


  • GPU Scaling may not work in some DirectX 11 applications
  • Radeon Wattman may not reach the overclocked states applied in Radeon RX Vega series graphics products or may cause mouse stuttering when left running in the background
  • Windows Media Player may experience an application crash during video playback if Radeon ReLive is recording the desktop
  • Secondary screens may show corruption or green screen when the screen or system goes to sleep or hibernates with content playing.
  • Cannot create Eyefinity settings through the Advanced Eyefinity Settings option
  • The 'Reset' option in the Radeon Setting Gaming tab can enable the HBCC Memory Segment feature instead of setting it to the disabled state by default
  • After resuming from sleep mode and playing video content, the system may be unresponsive on Radeon RX Vega series graphics products
  • Eyefinity Mixed Mode Bezel Compensation cannot be applied
