AMD updates the AMD Ryzen Master tool to version 1.0.1, to correct temperature discrepancies between the actual processor temperature and that displayed on the screen.
It carries a new update of the AMD Ryzen Master Software software, specifically version 1.0.1, which until now had deficiencies when it comes to reading the processor temperature and displaying it on the screen, solved after this update. We ourselves, in the analysis of the Ryzen 7, already detected important differences in temperature, which were around 20ºC. It is not a thing that takes us by surprise, since AMD recognized that this problem existed, but only in the 'X' processors, that is true.
We were able to verify with the ASUS fan management tool and overclocking tool, that the temperature difference had a variance of about 20ºC, an important deficiency, which caused the fan to not act as it should. It appears that the AMD software made use of an inappropriate tCTL temperature reading system, generating the significant difference in temperature. The update should fix this temperature difference.
The temperature sensor of the AMD Ryzen processors, called T Control or tCTL with a poor sensor in the internal junction and in the sensor reading, which extends to all AMD AM4 processors, with which the operation of the same is incorrect. There is a significant discrepancy between the sensor on the processor and the sensor on the motherboard, causing the fan to work at what we could call 'correct speed according to temperature', but this temperature discrepancy causes the processor to slow down its work.
Through this update, the Ryzen Master software should already show the correct frequency, working the processor properly, improving dissipation and being able to adjust the voltage when overclocking without restrictions. AMD is updated a few days after the Ryzen 5 hit the market, although we have been the first medium in the world to filter the first review of the AMD Ryzen 5 1400 processors.
