AMD Confirms Radeon Pro Duo with 32GB GDDR5 Memory Will Hit the Market for $ 999
A matter of hours ago, AMD announced that it will launch the first dual graphics card focused on the professional world, the Radeon Pro Duo. While Vega without giving more signs of life than a tweet from our beloved Raja Koduri, it seems that AMD is still trying to settle down and find its place in the current market and for now the Gaming section does not seem to be the case.
This GPU will have the surprising figure of 32 GB GDDR5 at 7 GHz, apparently AMD is still behind and will not even do the standard GDDR5X (let's not even talk about HBM2). On the other hand, we have 72 computing units that will add a total of 4608 Stream processors at a frequency of 1243 MHz. The result is this GPU under Polaris 10 architecture (nothing new, simply this product is the result of the union of two Silicones of this architecture last year) will be a power of 11,45 TFLOPS. With this performance we can handle up to a maximum of 4 monitors at 4K at 60FPS, an 8K monitor at 30FPS or 4K 360º content designed especially for VR. On the other hand, we will have a 512-bit memory bus that will give rise to a maximum bandwidth of 448 GB / s.
As for power, we will need two connectors apart from the PCI-Express port, 8 + 6 pins, in parallel the TDP will be 250W. If we go on to talk about the inputs that the GPU will have, we will find three DisplayPort 1.3 along with an HDMI 2.0. Finally, the price with which it has been marked is $ 999 in the United States, clearly at the exchange rate in Spain (taking into account our classic taxes) it will be much more expensive, probably reaching 1200 euros.
