AMD cuts the price of the AMD Ryzen 7 and AMD Ryzen 5 processors, with the clear intention of preparing the market for the arrival of the Raven Ridge APUs and the AMD Ryzen 12nm processors.
We have seen these days during CES 2018, how AMD has shown the plans for the next few months and is that in the coming weeks the Raven Ridge APUs for desktop will arrive and at the end of this quarter the AMD Ryzen 2 will arrive. To prepare the way and With the arrival of these solutions, the company has begun to reduce the AMD Ryzen processors that are in the market, with the intention of reducing the stock and avoiding processors being left on the shelves.
We started with the Ryzen 7 1800X, which went from $ 499 to $ 349, a very substantial reduction. The Ryzen 7 1700X goes from $ 399 to $ 309, while its little brother, the Ryzen 7 1700 goes from $ 329 to $ 299. The Ryzen 5 are also cut, going from the Ryzen 5 1600X from $ 249 to $ 219 and the Ryzen 5 1600, which goes from $ 219 to $ 189. The rest of Ryzen processors do not receive any price cut, at least for now. The figures are given in dollars, because it is what has been filtered, but it should also arrive at the value in Euros.
Although the reduction in the price of processors is always well received, because it is something that we save in this product, to pay for RAM, which is more expensive than Gold or Bitcoin, it is late. Possibly the strategy would have been better before the Christmas period, where they would have sold much more than at the moment and is that AMD is not the first time that it fails in the strategy when it comes to marketing, but hey, a discount is always appreciated, ¿ truth?
in guatemala there is no official amd distributor at least that i know so i am not affected by the sales
