AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Overclocked Benchmark

Benchmarks to the AMD Ryzen 5 1400 in Gaming and Synthetic Applications

Hours ago we were able to know the exact price of the new AMD 5 processors and a matter of minutes ago we saw how some benchmarks in gaming and synthetic applications of the AMD Ryzen 5 1400 with four cores and eight processing threads were filtered, it is worth mentioning that this CPU has been overclocked and therefore the results are somewhat higher than they would be at factory frequencies (also shown below).

The 11th of this April is marked as the date on which Ryzen 5 will officially go on the market worldwide. Oriented to gaming and with a very adjusted price, this new range of CPUs plans to remove the bad taste in the mouth that left many of those who had high expectations in games with respect to the Ryzen 7. Here is a table that briefly summarizes the models, processing cores / threads, frequency (base and with boost), L3 cache, TDP and price.

AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Benchmarks

As soon as we start we must mention that the processor has been tested with overclocked frequencies and with standard frequencies. According to the computer scientist who has carried out these tests, this model manages to rise to 3,8 GHz but that at this frontier begins to have problems and not even raising voltages, it is able to avoid the problems that end up resulting in it crashing.

Although the processor lasts up to 3,8 GHz, the tests have been carried out at 3,5 / 3,6 / 3,7 / 3,8 GHz and these have been the results:

CBR 15 (Cinebench R15) / CBR11.5 (Cinebench R11.5)

  • AMD Ryzen 5 @ 3.5 GHz - 754 (CBR15) / 8.49 (CBR11.5)
  • AMD Ryzen 5 @ 3.6 GHz - 761 (CBR15) / 8.69 (CBR11.5)
  • AMD Ryzen 5 @ 3.7 GHz - 787 (CBR15) / 8.80 (CBR11.5)
  • AMD Ryzen 5 @ 3.8 GHz - 801 (CBR15) / 9.06 (CBR11.5)

If we continue with the tests, we find a result of 32412 MB / s (read), 32296 MB / s (write), 29794 MB / s (copy) and a latency of 103ns. The memory it used was a fairly modest frequency of 2133 Mhz. At the same time, to see how the RAM affected this CPU, it has been tested with other modules at 2666 MHz with much higher results: 40439 MB / s (Read), 40214 MB / s (write), 35760 MB / s (copy) and a 88.4ns latency.

Finally we have the 3DMark tests at frequencies of 3,7 GHz, the processor reached scores of 6992 and 11963 in the "Physics" section of the 3DMark Firestrike Ultra benchmark test. On the other hand, in 3DMark Firestrike Extreme the result was 11846 accompanied by nothing more and nothing less than a GTX 1080 Ti iChill. Finally we have 3DMark Timespy with general results of 8114 and 3792 CPU.

Gaming benchmarks

To conclude we bring you this video in which it is shown how this Ryzen 5 1400 performs accompanied by an AMD RX 480 from 8VRAM compared to an i5 7400 and a G4560: (which although we have already shown it, it is worth mentioning in case there is someone at the what happened)
