One of the great doubts of the moment resides in the next AMD APUs, the AMD Raven Ridge, a solution that combines AMD Ryzen cores and Vega graphics, for the entry and casual gaming segment. These solutions, of which little is known, are designed for low-cost desktops, saving us the graphics card and for laptops. This solution from AMD is aimed directly at Intel, at the entry-level and could do a lot of damage to the company, that Intel's iGPUs are a bit lazy.

What has been leaked thanks to CompuBench, is the first data from the Radeon Vega 10 Mobile, which has nothing to do with the Vega 10 for the RX Vega 64. The first of these processors is the Ryzen 7 2700U, an APU that has with an integrated Vega 10 Mobile graphics. This graph integrated in the processor, according to OpenGL, has 8 Compute Units (512 Stream Processors). The Ryzen 5 2500U will have a Vega 8 Mobile version, which will be somewhat higher than the previous model, according to OpenGL, with a total of 11 Compute Units.

It is quite a while for Vega 8 to have 11 Compute Units and Vega 10 to only 8 Compute Units, since it would normally be the other way around. It is possible that this is a failure or that the information is not correct, since we are talking about products in development and a wrong reading would not be ruled out. These Raven Ridge APUs should hit the market by the end of the year and we do not know if they will arrive only in laptop or desktop versions, although the normal thing would be to launch both families at the same time.
