The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X processor has been brought extreme overclocked to 5.2GHz, shattering previous Cinebench R15 results on the sixteen-core set.
The new AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors arrive to compete with the Intel Basins Falls and the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X, Ryzen Threadripper 1920X and Ryzen Threadripper 1900X have been confirmed. During the event not only have these new processors been presented, but one of these processors has been given to a group of overclockers, so that they could give a good account of them, with the intention of demonstrating the quality of these processors and that they are capable of do anything and smash any record.
The photos and information have been Monstru, from Lab501, who has seen in the first person how the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X was waxed. This processor with sixteen cores and thirty-two processing threads, has seen its frequency raised to 5.2GHz, raising the multiplier of this processor to 52x with the standard bus frequency of 100MHz. Logically, liquid nitrogen has been used to cool this system, because the more cores, the higher the temperature at lower frequencies and therefore, at 5.2GHz, to keep it stable, LN2 has been used as a cooling element.
According to the data, the Core VID of the CPU-Z in terms of temperatures is not reliable, but it has shown a voltage of 1.6V, which is quite a lot. Regarding the other elements, the motherboard used has not been revealed, but it has been specified that DDR4 RAM memories have been used in Quad Channel configuration at the base frequency established by JEDEC, of 2133MHz. In the end the result in Cinebench R15 has given a score of 4122cb, which are really impressive. This result outperforms the Xeon E5 2667 v4, which was 2867cb for sixteen-core processors. Logically it also beats the i9 7900X, which with 5.96GHz gave a result of 3327cb.

From what the overclocker says, the bottleneck was the motherboard because it was a basic card and that with a mother designed for OC it will go higher, he also said that it reaches 4.2ghz with 1.35v while ryzen reaches 4ghz with 1.4v and that hopes to improve results when you can
It is seen that it carries better IPC than the i9 ...
