AMD also introduces the AMD Ryzen Threadripper, confirming the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1900X

Officially presented the AMD Ryzen Threadripper and confirming the Threadripper 1900X, which has eight cores and sixteen processing threads, like the Ryzen 7 1800X.

Taking advantage of the AMD Capasaicin event, the company wanted to officially announce the ADM Ryzen Threadripper processors, which as we have already mentioned, are modular processors based on the same system as the Ryzen. Specifically, the specifications of the AMD Ryzen 1900X have been released, a model whose existence was leaked very recently and whose frequencies and price have been confirmed. The truth is that this processor does not look bad and wants to compete with the most 'basic' Intel Basins Falls.

About this Ryzen Threadripper 1900X, we must say that it will be the most basic model for the TR4 sockets and that to work it will require a motherboard with said socket and the X399 chipset. Regarding the characteristics, we must emphasize that it is an eight-core processor and sixteen processing threads, which will have a base frequency of 3.8GHz and a Boost frequency of 4.0GHz and that it will have XFR technology, which does not work correctly and is a problem. It will hit the market on August 31 for $ 549 and will not arrive alone, it will arrive with its twin, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900, which could have a slightly lower frequency and without XFR.

AMD's movement is especially curious since with eight cores we also have the Ryzen 7 1800X, with an AM4 socket and that offers a frequency of 3.6GHz and a Boost mode of 4.0GHz. The specifications of both processors are practically past, what's more, the Ryzen 7 1800X has a price of about € 530, therefore, we do not fully understand the need to get a new processor, practically the same, to one that already exists, but it still surprises us by yielding significantly more, who knows.
