AMD gives you two games if you buy an AMD RX Vega 64 or a RX Vega 56

Curious strategy of AMD, which has decided to give the games Prey and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, to all those who buy an AMD RX Vega 64 and RX Vega 56.

The sales of the AMD RX Vega 64 and RX Vega 56 are not being as expected and is that the performance is lower than expected (although it seems that in some games, very polished and with very well optimized drivers, they improve something), they consume an authentic aberration and price makes them unattractive, as there are competing options with better performance and greater energy efficiency. The latest idea from AMD is to give away the Prey game and the Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus game, two games specially optimized for AMD graphics.

Getting two free games is always a good thing, but AMD's marketing strategy is being dire with the Vega. First they said that they would be very good for mining cryptocurrencies, something that has not been true, not even with specific drivers. The constant delays, due to problems in GPU production, affected the launch of the AMD model and at the moment, there are no custom models and we will see how many will arrive this year. Right now with Black Friday, many have opted for AMD solutions from the RX 500 Series or directly for NVIDIA, who has played their cards well and recently launched the GTX 1070 Ti, which although it is more designed for mining, to gaming still works.

Giving two games 'lowers' the price of the graphics card, the problem is that the players may not have interest in these two games, so the best strategy would have been to lower the price of the graphics by € 100 and for each user to invest that money whatever he wanted. Although they are a product that is improving somewhat in drivers, it is difficult to see a computer store that does not have its entire catalog of NVIDIA graphics with brutal discounts, so this occurrence of AMD, possibly has zero impact.
