Raja Koduri and Chris Hook talk on Twitter about today's AMD event and comment on the possibility of a big announcement regarding the AMD Vega.

We have been talking about AMD Vega for months and the talk about graphics cards based on this new AMD GPU, about which practically everything has been said, but about which we know practically nothing for sure, are a mystery kept very secret by AMD. Today is the day that AMD holds a special event to talk about its star products for the rest of the year and among them will be the AMD Vega with total security, AMD Naples, the processors for servers and the AMD Ryzen 9 processors, the HEDT for the enthusiast sector.

How do we know? Well, because Raja Koduri and Chris Hook have started to hit Twitter and have talked about what they announced today as a spoiler and have commented that they will talk about the long-awaited AMD Vega. We must emphasize that it should not be the official launch event, since this is expected to be on May 31 at Computex 2017, but at least confirmations of release dates and data on the new and promising graphics cards of AMD whose mission is to compete with the NVIDIA GTX.

So today we should know more data about Vega, apart from using between 4Gb and 8GB of HBM2, depending on the model, that the Vega 10 chips will have a maximum of 4096 Stream Processors based on the new GFX9 architecture. What should be confirmed today is the number of Vega-based graphics cards that will be released, their frequencies and their performance in relation to NVIDIA graphics cards. As a bonus, they could confirm or deny if they only have 16.000 graphics cards, either of one model or of all those that they are going to launch on the market.
