EVGA announces the EVGA GTX 1070 Ti FTW Ultra Silent graphics card, a graphics card that features custom PCBs, a giant heatsink, and reference frequencies that NVIDIA prevents manufacturers from modifying.
The arrival of the NVIDIA GTX 1070 Ti on the market is bringing with it a large number of models, each one characterized by having a different design or performance. EVGA one of the major brands that works with NVIDIA has also shown several custom models, but the latest to arrive is the EVGA GTX 1070 Ti FTW Ultra Silent. This is the first graphics card that has a heatsink developed by the company itself, thinking of offering excellent cooling without the need to actuate the fans and thus generate noise.
As the main characteristic of this graphics card, we have a heatsink that occupies three PCI expansion slots, which in some systems can be a space problem, but is due to the giant aluminum heatsink, with a high density, developed to dissipate heat without the need to activate the two 90mm fans that have been implemented. The temperature at which the fans are activated has not been specified, but this will be quite high, since the heatsink has been designed to dissipate heat under load without the need to activate the fans.
It continues with the restriction imposed by NVIDIA, which, as we know, prevents manufacturers from modifying the reference frequencies of this graphics card, therefore it will work at 1607MHz base and can reach 1683MHz in Boost mode, while GDDR5 memories work at 8GHz. This graphics card features a custom PCB and two 8 + 8 pin PCIe power connectors. As video outputs, a DVI-D, an HDMI 2.0b and three DisplayPort 1.4 ports have been arranged. The price of this graphic is $ 499 and is currently sold out on the manufacturer's website.
