AOC Announces First AGON Monitor with AMD Radeon FreeSync 2 and VESA DisplayHDR 400

Monitor specialist AOC is proud to introduce the newest addition to its family of premium AGON gaming monitors, the AOC AGON AG322QC4 that delivers dazzling gaming views with its VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.

The AOC AG322QC4 features the latest monitor technology to deliver realistic images and a smoother gaming experience, including VESA DisplayHDR 400 and AMD Radeon FreeSync 2. VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification ensures a peak brightness of 400 cd/m², enhanced black levels, a wider color gamut, and greater bit depth (color depth) for high dynamic range (HDR) visuals.

For a jitter-free, jitter-free gaming experience, AMD's Radeon FreeSync 2 technology improves on its predecessor FreeSync, supporting a variable refresh rate (matches monitor refresh rate to GPU frame rate) . FreeSync 2 employs stringent restrictions (for example, required Low Frame Rate Compensation -LFC-, larger color space) and HDR compatibility with lower latency than conventional HDR monitors.

Impressive and enveloping style

The stylish AG322QC4 with its refreshed deep black finish features 1800R curvature on its 31.5 ”VA (Vertical Alignment) panel. This pronounced curvature with a radius of 1800mm envelops the user, covering their peripheral vision and offering a compelling immersion. On a curved screen, the eyes will be roughly the same distance from either corner of the monitor at a near perpendicular angle, which cancels out any image distortion, contrast, or color shift caused by oblique angles.

Redefining a smooth gaming experience

The VA panel of the AG322QC4 boasts a QHD resolution (2560 × 1440 px), to train gamers for many years. The best intermediate resolution for today's gamers, QHD resolution provides images four times more detailed than 720p resolution, but in most games today's mid / high-end GPUs are able to easily drive high frequencies of frames in QHD, compared to 4K. The AG322QC4's VA panel also provides wide viewing angles comparable to IPS panels.

Competitive gamers will be satisfied with the aggressive specifications of the AG322QC4. GtG's 144Hz refresh rate and 4ms response time eliminate the effects of motion blur and offer gamers better visual response in fast-paced games. AOC's Low Input Lag mode further enhances the monitor's responsiveness. With this mode, the video signal avoids that most of the processing is done by the monitor electronics and the actions given by the input devices (keyboard / mouse) are more quickly translated into images.

Customize your own game

AOC knows what those little things players value are. AOC's Game Mode presets offer custom settings for different genres like FPS, Racing, or RTS for faster response and sharper visuals. Additionally, users can also save their own custom settings, and with the included OSD remote controller (QuickSwitch) they can easily navigate between them. AOC's Shadow Control feature allows gamers to dial in shadow levels on the OSD, lighten dark areas, or darken bright / faded areas, thus they can achieve higher image quality without any problem.

The AOC Ergo Base provides a wide range of height, tilt, and swivel adjustments to achieve an optimal ergonomic position. Gamers can plug in their headphones using the audio outputs or microphone inputs, and when not in use, hang them from the AG322QC4's retractable headphone mount. Convenient functionality is also provided by the monitor's 2 USB 3.0 ports, as well as the built-in cable management solution and carrying handle. With LED lights on the bottom bezel and rear of the monitor, gamers can choose between red, green or blue lights with three intensity levels for further customization.
