Apple could discontinue the iPhone X next summer

Apple is considering eliminating the iPhone X catalog next summer, because the high price of the terminal has made it of no interest to the global market, with total disinterest in the Chinese market.

The situation of the Cupertino giant is not exactly good and the fact is that the new iPhones that have been launched on the market are not having the expected reception. Apple knows that although the iPhone X is a terminal with good quality components, it has many problems, among the most serious, the price, for a fairly normal hardware. The iPhone X is characterized by a 5.8-inch AMOLED screen, the six-core Apple A11 processor, and Face ID technology, which works relatively well. Despite this, it is not sold and the price is absurd.

All the components of these smartphones do not justify a price, which in Spain, for the most 'simple' model is € 1.159, while the model with 128GB capacity, the price shoots up to € 1.329. Sales have plummeted after the first few weeks after it hit the market, and the situation is so bad that Apple plans to stop making these high-priced terminals next summer.

Ming-Chi Kuo, who is an analyst at KGI Securities, is the smartphone market in China, where this new terminal, the iPhone X, has not been enthusiastically received, on the contrary, it has hardly been of interest to consumers. China is the largest market in the world and of course, if it is not relevant in this market, it weighs a lot. This analyst also highlights that the Apple terminal will not be lowered in price, possibly because they know that despite the reduction, it is too late for a terminal, which has not received good reviews either. They aim to directly discontinue this smartphone and focus on developing a terminal to replace it.
