ASRock leaks specifications for AMD Ryzen 3 1200 processors

ASRock lets see on its website the first data about the new AMD Ryzen 3 processors, specifically the specifications of the AMD Ryzen 3 1200.

ASRock's official website has confirmed the AMD Ryzen 3 processors, specifically on the web they have shown the AMD Ryzen 3 1200 processor (YD1200BBM4KAE). AMD Ryzen 3 processors still do not have a release date or any reliable data on them, not like the AMD Ryzen 5, which we know will be released on April 11, although some are in a hurry. These new AMD processors will make up what we could call the entry range and are intended for entry gaming, among other solutions.

According to the ASRock website, this new processor will have a base frequency of 3.1GHz with a TDP of 65W. It is possible that these new processors do not have a Boost mode, since they will be the simplest from AMD, in addition, it will only have four cores and four processing threads. The cache is reportedly 2MB for L2. Therefore, these new processors of the Summit Ridge family would not have SMT technology, as it does with the Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 processors.

These processors will compete in price directly with the Intel i3 of the Kaby Lake and Skylake families and also with the Pentium G4560, which has two cores, four processing threads and a frequency of 3.5Ghz without Boost mode, which as we could see , offers excellent performance for a TDP of 54W. The Ryzen three possibly take between a month or two to reach the market and should arrive with the A320 chipset motherboards, much simpler and that also does not have support for overclocking, which if the B350 and X370 chipsets allow, intended for the mid and high range of Ryzen processors.

  1. I don't think they come so austere ... there may be models with SMT and they are SMT, and I think they will come with TurboBoost, taking into account that AMD generally introduces instruction sets and high-end processor features in the input processors and These are not the most basic, APUs are still missing in their different ranges and mobile processors
