ASUS is about to launch the ASUS B250 Mining Expert motherboard, a motherboard that is characterized by having 19 PCIe ports and three 24-pin ATX connectors.
A few months ago we already talked about the new motherboard for mining ASUS B250 Mining Expert, which is the first motherboard on the market developed for mining cryptocurrencies. This motherboard is ATX format and is characterized by having 19 PCIe slots, of which 18 are PCIe x1 and one PCIe x16. We are facing one of the largest motherboards for cryptocurrency mining, although it has the peculiarity that it only supports 16 graphics cards, but it provides something that other motherboards do not offer.
What makes it ideal is that three 24-pin ATX connectors have been arranged, which allows you to install three power supplies and not need to bridge them between them, all three will be connected automatically at the same time. Motherboard basket has an 8-pin EPS connector and three 4-pin Molex connectors, for each of the three sets of connectors, for extra power to the connectors in the event that the Riser that we use does not have power ( if the risers are powered, these power connectors are ignored)
The rest of the elements of this motherboard are modest, since for cryptocurrency mining, large components or great connectivity are not required. The board has two DDR4 DIMM sockets, which supports up to 32GB of RAM in Dual Channel configuration, it has four SATA 6Gbps ports, six USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet port, fundamental for mining, six-channel HD sound, video output HDMI and PS / 2 port for keyboard and mouse, separately. The socket is Intel LGA 1151 and supports Skylake and Kaby Lake processors. At the moment we do not have price and availability.
