ASUS BRT-AC828, new high-performance router

New ASUS BRT-AC828 router that can host an M.2 SSD drive for local cloud storage.

ASUS expands its line of high-end routers designed to offer great network features, both wired and wireless. The new ASUS BRT-AC828 router, as we have mentioned, is a high-end router that allows us a great bandwidth through WiFi of 2534Mbps through the use of dual-band frequencies of 2.4 / 5GHz through the WiFi 802.11ac standard.

This router stands out for having four transmitting antennas and another four receiving ones through a 4 × 4 system. This router also has ASUS AiRadar technology, which allows us to optimize data transmission in a directional way to the point or area that we want.

Additionally, this router has two Gigabit WAN ports that has an aggregate mode for 2Gbps of total bandwidth and also has an error-proof operation, which in the event of a failure in one of the internet links, it will automatically use the following link available.

The characteristic of being able to integrate an M.2 SSD unit stands out in this router, something that is very new. This is done to provide the Asus router with internal storage so that it can offer us NAS-type functions or what is the same, we load multimedia content or photographs and through WiFi we can enjoy them on any device that is connected to the WiFi network that we have created at home.

If this seems not enough, it has a control software called ASUSWRT, which has a graphical interface via web with simple configurations and also advanced options for those who want maximum customization, in addition to creating personal or professional level network configurations, depending on taste. We do not know the price or availability of this router.
