Graphics cards are a fundamental element for gaming. Having a good graphics card is essential nowadays, and ASUS is well aware of this. In this case, ASUS has launched a GTX 1060 with a classic feel, as it has been fitted with the STRIX DirectCU II cooler. This cooler had previously been used for high-end graphics cards, but now it's also available in the mid-range. Thus, we have the new ASUS GTX 1060 6GB STRIX DirectCU II , but this graphics card has a smaller footprint than a standard GTX 1060.
This graphics card has a slightly longer PCB than the heatsink, resulting in a total length of 210mm . Power is supplied via a six-pin connector, a testament to the energy efficiency of NVIDIA's Pascal chips . Regarding specifications, the card operates at a base clock of 1569MHz and a boost clock of 1785MHz. Modifying these frequencies is easy thanks to GPUTweek, which allows you to increase the base clock to 1595MHz and the boost clock to 1811MHz with a little overclocking.
Regarding the GPU memory, this graphics card features 6GB of GDDR5 memory with a clock speed of 8GHz and a 192-bit interface. This graphics card is undoubtedly mid-range, but it clearly aims for high-end performance. It also boasts three DisplayPort 1.4 outputs , one HDMI 2.0b port , and a dual-link DVI port . We don't yet know the price or availability of this graphics card.
