ASUS GTX 1060 Phoenix 3GB, a gaming graphics card in mini-ITX format

ASUS announces the ASUS GTX 1060 Phoenix 3GB graphics card, a mini-ITX graphics card designed for highly compact gaming devices.

Graphics cards keep coming out all over the place. ASUS has announced the ASUS GTX 1060 Phoenix 3GB graphics card, a mini-ITX-sized graphics card, primarily intended for compact computers where a longer graphics card would not fit. This graphics card has 3GB of GDDR5 memory, therefore it is the simplest version and is designed for gaming with 1080p resolutions. This Phoenix graphics card has a dual slot heatsink that is basically black but has a white center stripe.

We are talking about a fairly simple graphics card without frills, to cover needs and with a heatsink of only one fan. The ASUS graphics card makes use of the GP106-300 GPU which has 1152 CUDA Core, 72 TMU and 48 ROP. Regarding the frequencies, it seems that this graphics card will work at the reference ones, which are 1506MHz of base frequency and 1708MHz of frequency in Boost mode, in addition, GDDR5 memories work at a frequency of 8GHz, therefore this graphics card will not do use of the new VRAMs that work at 9Ghz.

This graphics card requires dedicated power through a 6-pin PCIe connector. It has outputs of several video outputs, such as a DVI-D, two HDMI 2.0 and two DisplayPort 1.4. Regarding the output of this graphics card or what its price will be, no data has been given, but it aims to be an economical graphics card as an ideal solution for those who have little space for a gaming device and opt for a very compact solution.
