AMD Ryzen already has high-end motherboard support from ASUS, which has introduced the AMD RoG Crosshair VI Hero, a high-performance motherboard for AMD processors.
AMD Ryzen processors are still weeks away from reaching the market, but little by little we are seeing how brands are launching new solutions with socket AM4, for these processors. The last has been ASUS with one of its top-of-the-range motherboards, specifically the ASUS CROSSHAIR VI Hero. This new motherboard has new features for these processors and will be one of the most powerful for this processor, of the company. One of the most interesting is the overclocking capabilities of this motherboard.
This motherboard has very similar features to the Z270 Maximus IV Hero for Intel Kaby Lake and Skylake processors. This motherboard, like the Intel version, will have RGB LED lighting, in addition to supporting SLI / CrossFireX configurations, connectivity for M.2 SSD units and logically USB 3.1 port connectivity. The motherboard has been designed in the ASUS Republic of Gamers style. It has four DIMM slots for DDR4 RAM in Dual Channel configuration and has a WiFi + Bluetooth 4.1 card.
All the major brands in the sector are developing different motherboards for AMD Ryzen processors. This motherboard competes directly with Intel's Z270. If AMD's processors live up to expectations, motherboard sales should be very large and ASUS has thought about this factor. It also features enhanced audio, a fundamental feature on modern high-end motherboards.
ASUS at the presentation event of these new motherboards has also shown the Prime X370 AM4, which is designed to offer all the features of a high-end motherboard and support the overclocking allowed by AMD Ryzen processors, thanks to the chipset X370, but which will be priced lower than the RoG Crosshair VI Hero. Simpler design, but also offering support for M.2 SSDs, 3.1 connectivity, and ASUS RGB Aura lighting.
Some other motherboards with the B350 and A320 chipset have also been seen, the other chipsets for AMD Ryzen, more discreet in performance than the X370, which would not support overclocking and would have somewhat more limited connectivity. We'll see when AMD's Ryzen hit the market, all motherboards from ASUS and other motherboard manufacturers.

How do a top-of-the-range Ryzen motherboard perform with an Asus Rog Crosshair vI Hero motherboard vs an Intel 17 Topegama + Rog Asua Formula IX 270? I'm not sure which one to go for.
