ASUS presents three exciting and innovative products

ASUS has introduced a new compact gaming equipment, a high-end monitor and an expansion system to add more M.2 SSD ports that connects to a DDR3 RAM memory slot.

None of the major brands has missed the opportunity to present news and among them this ASUS, which has presented several interesting novelties. Among them we find the ViVoPC X compact-size gaming computer, which has been shown at CES 2017. This new team within the Republic of Gamers family has been called the GR8 II, which is the second generation of the GR8 teams from miniPC intended for gaming.

This equipment is characterized by having the same size as the Sony console, Play Station 4, but logically with more power and more current hardware. This equipment has an Intel i7 7700 processor from the Kaby Lake series and an NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5 graphics card has been integrated, to offer us great power in video games. In addition, up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM can be installed, it has an M.2 SSD port and space for a 2.5 ”SSD. The chassis features RGB LED lighting via ASUS Aura Sync, the company's lighting control software.

A good gaming equipment must be accompanied by a good monitor and ASUS has also presented the ASUS ProArt PA32U, a monitor with a very careful design and with high-end features. This 32 ”monitor has a panel with Quantum Dot technology, capable of reproducing 99.5% of the Adobe RGB color palette, 85% of REC.2020 colors, 95% of ICD-P3 colors and 100% % of the sRGB palette. The star feature is that it has a 4K HDR resolution, achieved through a full 384-zone direct LED backlight matrix. The response time is 1ms and the monitor has Thunderbolt and DisplayPort video connectors.

We complete the ASUS news with a special accessory that has been included in ASUS Maximus IX Apex motherboards, called DIMM. 2. This accessory is a DIMM.2 card designed for people who do not have M.2 slots on their motherboard or want more ports of this type. This accessory is a PCB with two 32GB / s M.2 slots and a DDR3 connection interface (this motherboard has two DDR4 and one DDR3 slots), although we do not have much more information about it. We will have to wait a bit to see how it works and what its characteristics are.
