A few weeks ago we echoed the development by VESA of a series of DisplayHDR standards, to catalog the different monitors on the market, according to their characteristics according to the criteria established by each level. A few days ago we also talked about the arrival of the first DisplayHDR 600 monitor, but in this case we echo the arrival of a DisplayHDR 400 monitor. We are specifically talking about the ASUS ProArt PA27AC, which has the high image quality technology mentioned above. and that will delight users and does not make the product so expensive.

This new ASUS monitor is 27 inches and has an IPS panel that allows a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels and also has the ability to reproduce 100% of the sRGB color spectrum, with a depth of 8 bits. It is clear that this panel is of great quality, at least in the technical aspect. The maximum brightness of this panel is 400nits, an essential requirement to achieve the DisplayHDR 400 certification. In addition, it has a refresh rate of 60Hz and has dynamic contrast technology, which allows us to see better in dark environments.

Said IPS panel has a response time of 5ms, the usual one in this type of monitors. Regarding connectivity, it has DisplayPort 1.2A, HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 1.4, individually these connectors. The DisplayPort 1.2A port stands out, which can perform USB Type-C functions and is also fully compatible with AMD FreeSync and Thunderbolt 3 technologies, so in this regard it is very well and prepared for anything.
