Asus presents its new router with very top-of-the-range features

The Asus range dedicated to gaming, Republic of Gamers, has presented us with its new router with specifications that question whether so many specifications are necessary for the user or its usefulness is more than doubtful, as happened with the WRT32X presented by Linksys at CES. A rather striking specification is the ability to use 3 Wi-Fi networks simultaneously, but now we will delve into the rest of the technical aspects.

The first thing that surprises us at first glance are the 8 antennae that give it a spider-like shape. The type of Wi-Fi that it incorporates is 802.11 ac MU-MIMO, it has eight Gigabit Ethernet outputs and the possibility of using 3 Wi-Fi networks simultaneously, two at 2167 Mbps and another at 1000 Mbps, 1024 QAM modulation and 80 MHz bandwidth for connections, two USB 3.0 ports, and a full firmware with firewalls and other security and configuration features. But perhaps what really makes it a product aimed at gaming is its Game Dashboard, a control panel from which you can access Asus' servers for the WTFast service for latency reduction, management of quality of service in games (QoS), intrusion prevention and others. Nothing too exciting either, just the normal Asus manager but with a more "gamer" theme and some extra functionality.

At the moment this is what is known and Asus has not given a presentation date or price for the product.
