Asus Zenbook 3 Deluxe UX490UA

Asus launches its new ZenBook 3 Deluxe UX490UA with very top specs

During this year's CES we could see some touches of the new laptops that Asus will launch throughout this 2017. But today we finally have all the detailed specifications of one of its future models, the ASUS ZenBook 3 Deluxe UX490A. As main changes compared to its predecessor, we find that the CPU that moves it is from the latest Intel range, Kaby Lake, and that it has two Thunderbolt inputs.

As a starting point, we must know that this laptop goes from 12″ of its previous model to 14″ but with very similar dimensions and with a four-speaker system. The heart that drives this computer, the cpu, is an Intel Core i7-7500U with two cores and 4 processing threads, this is accompanied by 16GB of LPDDR3-2133 RAM. Its 14″ panel has 1080p resolution and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. In terms of storage, we can go from 256GB SSD to 1TB SSD. The webcam it mounts is VGA, its Wi-Fi connection is 802.11ac and it has Bluetooth 4.1. As for connections, we find 2 ThunderBolt / Type C USB 3.1 ports. Its weight is 1,1Kg and its dimensions are 329 × 216 × 12.9 mm. It has a 46 Wh battery and will be available in Blue and Grey. If we want a somewhat cheaper option, we can reduce the CPU and RAM to an i5-7200 and 8GB LPDDR3-2133.

For now Asus has not told us anything about the price of either option, but what we can surely expect is a slight increase from its predecessor. A comparable equipment to this future model is the Zenbook 3 UX390UA, which is at 1540 euros on Amazon, so more or less the shots will be there.
