Assassin's Creed: Origins benchmark under AMD and NVIDIA graphics

Assassin's Cree: Origins performance comparison on four AMD graphics cards and four NVIDIA graphics cards at 1080p, 1440p and 4K resolutions.

The new Ubisoft game, Assassin's Creed: Origins is one of the great games of the season, due to its graphic quality and because it is the supposed beginning of the mythical saga, whose plot takes place in Egypt. Among other things, this title is a significant graphic leap and is characterized by having to load large areas of land, with unprecedented dynamics in the saga and is that moving the palm trees dynamically, depending on the wind, seems simple, but requires a very important graphic power.

The guys from wccftech have made a comparison, to see which graphics card performs better with this game, which gives the best result. The base test bench is made up of an AMD Ryzen 7 1700 working at a frequency of 3.9Ghz, the MSI X370 XPower Gaming Titanium motherboard and a total of 16Gb of DDR4 RAM. The graphics cards NVIDIA GTX 1080 Founders Edition, NVIDIA GTX 1070 Founders Edition, NVIDIA GTX 1060 Founders Edition 6GB, NVIDIA GTX 1060 Founders Edition 3GB, AMD RX Vega 64 Liquid Cooling, XFX RX 480, Sapphire RX 570 Nitro + have been used for this benchmark. and Sapphire RX 460 Nitro.

The first graph shows us the game at 1080p resolution, the most common on the market, where the RX Vega 64 Liquid Edition, the one with factory overclocking, consumes a lot and the manufacturers, for this graph, indicate power supplies of at least minus 1000W, it performs practically the same as the GTX 1060 6GB, which shows that this graphics card is quite bad at low resolutions. If we look at 1440p resolution, the RX Vega 64 Liquid Cooling performs the same as the GTX 1070 FE, a slight improvement, a clear indicator that the higher the resolution, the better the performance.

Finally we have the data in 4K, where the RX Vega 64 LC, equals the performance of the GTX 1080 FE. We must bear in mind that the Vega with liquid cooling has a significant consumption problem, greater than the basic Vega 64, since this model has factory overclocking. In addition to the consumption, the higher price than the GTX 1080, make it little or not at all attractive. We must not forget that we are talking about the Founders Edition, with the NVIDIA stock frequencies, if we look at custom models by different manufacturers, with OC, the result could be very different.
