Biostar introduces two ITX boards for AMD Ryzen

The first two mini-ITX boards for AMD Ryzen have already been unveiled by Biostar, with the B350 and X370 chipsets.

After several weeks in the market, it is Biostar who has debuted in this size of motherboards for the new AMD Ryzen processors. With a price that will oscillate between € 100-130, added to its good equipment, they are positioned as one more possibility for the creation of compact equipment. Curiously, none of them makes use of the X300 chipset, supposedly oriented to the SFF range (Small PC's), opting directly for the X370, indicated for high-end components, and the B350 for tighter budgets. In addition, both boards will only differ in the chipset, as in terms of components, they are identical.

In terms of storage and graphics capabilities, both boards have a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, 4 SATA 6Gbps connections and an M.2 slot. They lack wireless connections, counting only on a Realtek Gigabit Ethernet connection. The audio channels are on a separate circuit, using a Realtek ALC892 8-channel high definition codec.

Regarding internal connections:

1x USB 3.1 Gen1
1 2.0 x USB
1x Front Audio
1x Front Panel
1x CPU Fan
1 x System Fan
2 x 5050 LEDs

And finally, the rear panel connections:

1 x PS / 2
1 x USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C
1x USB 3.1 Gen2
4x USB 3.1 Gen1
1 x HDMI Connector (up to 4096 x 2160 @ 24Hz or 3840 x 2160 @ 30Hz)
1 x DVI-D Connector (up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz)
1 x RJ-45
5x Audio
1 x S / PDIF Out

After this announcement, it only remains for more manufacturers to dare to populate the market for mini-ITX boards, still untapped for the new AMD Ryzen processors.

  1. I find them to be excellent options, although for compatibility I think a pair of USB 2s can be fitted without problem in the back

    1. Man, serving is plenty, because the motherboard is not the one that offers 4K @ 60 fps, it is the processor and the graphics card that should offer that support.
