Bitcoin Diamond, a new Bitcoin hardfork that wants to give more privacy and improve transactions
New hardfork to Bitcoin, in this case much more unknown and which has received the name of Bitcoin Diamond, which wants to improve the speed of transactions and offer more privacy.
The most important cryptocurrency on the market is Bitcoin and it has suffered several hardforks in recent months, growing Altcoins with different ideals. Bitcoin Cash is a solution that aims for users to have improvements in transactions and make it easier to mine professionally. Bitcoin Gold, the most recent hardfork, wants to return the BTC to users, through the Equihash protocol, which allows this cryptocurrency to be mined easily with a processor and above all, with a graphics card. The last hardfork, with less publicity than the previous two is Bitcoin Diamond (BCD).
What Bitcoin Diamond intends is to be able to carry out transactions with greater opacity or what is the same, without the trace that BTC leaves and also, that these operations are faster, the only problem is that the BCD protocol is not yet available for go down. This hardfork took place on November 24, in block # 495.866. This project has been developed by anonymous miners, which operate under the names EVEY and 007. There is a third developer of this cryptocurrency, which does not even have a name. The idea of this cryptocurrency is that it is more profitable for miners and adjusts the transactions, adding privacy to it.
The statement released by the developers states: “After nine years of rapid development and various problems that miners faced with Bitcoin, such as lack of privacy protection, high transaction fees and low transaction speed, the teams finally collaborated and they launched Bitcoin Diamond "
This new cryptocurrency is characterized by having a new Prof-to-Work algorithm, which aims to give more privacy and will also be compatible with SegWit and reproduction protection has also been added. BCD also offers a 10-fold increase in issuance supply, so the coin limit is 210 million against BTC which is 21 million. The block size is also modified, which can reach 8MB.
Right now it can be found in OKEx, CEX.com and Huobi, in addition to 25 other minor and little known exchange houses, so this cryptocurrency is not very widespread, which, as you have already seen, moves with the acronym BCD . OKEx has also indicated that users will receive 10BCD for every 1BTC they had during the fork. BCD is like futures on CoinMarketCap and according to this website it has a value of $ 81.33 at the moment, a fairly low value.
I already have my 3 bitcoin diamonds, we'll see how far this currency goes 😀
