Bitcoin could be accepted in the coming weeks by Amazon in its store

Amazon would be registering domains related to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for weeks, because it would be close to allowing purchases using cryptocurrencies.

Cryptocurrencies are conquering different markets and it is that more and more, large companies are allowing themselves to be conquered by Bitcoin and the rest of cryptocurrencies. Something that many users have been asking for months is that Amazon allows purchases with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, something that, among others, already allows Apple or Steam. According to the information revealed by SkyNews, this could be very close to being a reality, accepting BTC as a payment method, although this information has not been confirmed, for now.

Apparently, this information comes from the registration of domains by Amazon, which is reserving different domains, quite unusual, in order to avoid phishing, as far as possible. The registered names would have some direct links to BTC. This rumor has been growing for weeks and this information would increase these rumors and to a certain extent, certifying that Amazon really has an interest in allowing the purchase of products through BTC, which will almost certainly mean a sharp rise in the BTC value if said information is confirmed.

The following names have been specifically registered, according to SkyNews:

  • amazonethereum.com
  • amazoncryptocurrency.com
  • amazoncryptocurrencies.com

We must emphasize at this point that it has been rumored for a long time that Amazon, along with Google and other technology giants, would be behind the development of Ripple (XRP), a cryptocurrency designed to facilitate cross-border currency operations, between banks, companies and users, allowing streamline movements and confirmation of operations, taking minutes instead of hours or days, as happens today with bank transfers, which take an average of 48 business hours to be validated and which with XRP are validated in a few minutes.

  1. Haha, great post Roberto, thanks! You forgot Testa, the father of radio, home electricity, satellite signaling, the "ground design of the first electric motor," and much more that I'm unaware of. Greetings from Argentina! There are already people buying through Ripio ( https://www.ripio.com/es/ ) and GiftOff ( https://giftoff.com ) on Amazon in Germany, England, and other countries. When I found out about Spain, it wasn't available yet, but perhaps it will be by now. Greetings and thanks again. Some guides on how to use Bitcoin and make purchases with guarantees would be helpful. For example, if I buy from Amazon Germany with international shipping, do I have a product guarantee? And if so, how do I claim a guarantee, or for product defects, theft, or any other issue that might affect the purchase?
