Blizzard receives 228 million tax advantages, declared 447 profit

US tax policy has resulted in Blizzard receiving $ 228 million in tax relief. That same year, the company declared 447 million profits.

Fiscal policies in the United States are very complicated. In the case that concerns us, we must know that the largest companies can receive tax benefits if they locate their tax headquarters or logistics centers in certain territories. And that's what Blizzard appears to have done in 2018.

447 million profit, another 228 million in prize

According to the website of the Isntitute on Taxation and Economic Policy, Activision Blizzard is having a very favorable personalized tax policy. How favorable? Well, he has received tax money despite declaring millionaire profits in 2018.

According to the ITEP, Activision Blizzar declared 447 million dollars in profits last year. And it is not for less with everything they collect from Overwatch lootboxes, Hearthstone microtransactions, World of Warcraft subscriptions...

Thanks to a fiscal policy, despite declaring almost half a billion dollars of profit, they were able to claim very favorable tax returns and even aid. The ITEP report revealed that they claimed an effective tax rate of -51%, with which they received 228 million dollars.

That tax money would be available to help start-ups that need financial support to get ahead, expand and grow. Now, what help could a company need that has several of the most profitable games on the market and can afford a convention only for its games and that in one year raises more than 400 million in revenue?
