Bloodborne fan will release a 60FPS patch if Sony doesn't

One fan has managed to move Bloodborne to 60FPS on a PlayStation 4 Pro. But he's going to wait to see if Sony releases his before deciding to publish it.

Bloodborne is one of the most beloved games on the PlayStation 4. For many it is the masterpiece of Hidetaka Miyazaki and the formula Dark Souls how well it has worked for From Software. But one of the constant criticisms it has received is that the game has very long loading screens and is capped at 30FPS.

Bloodborne at 60FPS is possible

The community of gamers and hackers has been working on being able to play Bloodborne at 60FPS. There was hope that Sony would release an optimization patch for the PlayStation 4 Pro, but it did not. And now with the imminent launch of PS5 and that almost all of its games will be backward compatible and can be optimized, Bloodborne is expected to benefit from a patch for PS5.

But it may not happen and a fan has prepared a patch to play Bloodborne at 60FPS on a modified PlayStation 4 Pro. To do this, he took some of the code from Dark Souls III and entered it to remove the photogoramas per second limitation from the game.

The patch is practically done and ready to publish, but it will be released on one condition. If Sony does not make it possible to play Bloodborne at 60FPS on PlayStation 5, the patch will be released. Understand that a lot of people want to play it this way but they don't want to compete with Sony. Bloodborne will be an important part of the launch of PlayStation 5, as it is part of the PlayStation Plus Collection, the PS4 games that can be played on PlayStation 5 if we are subscribed. As in these cases, it is all a matter of waiting to see what happens, but the fact of playing Bloodborne smoothly will be one more reason to return to it and start a new game.

  1. I love it, not the slightest comment on how the vast majority of users have no way or are willing to download and install an unofficial patch on their console.

  2. Knowing Sony, he puts a permanent ban on him, makes him a judgment for having adulterated his game and on top of that he does not remove the patch.

  3. Lance has directly denied the rumor on his Twitter. He has never said he's going to do that or anything like that. Please check the information a bit before simply translating a Kotaku article, where they screwed up, and it seems you did too. Greetings.
