BOUNDARY: A multiplayer FPS in outer space
It will be exclusive to PS4 for a limited time and will later arrive on PC and Xbox, Boundary is being developed with the Unreal Engine 4.
First of all, I want to start the paragraph by saying that we have the new Call of NASA: Future Warfare. No, it was jokes. It is a new first-person shooter game that is very much into the tactical. Boundary is being developed by the Chinese studio, Surgical Scalpels, which has 14 people and this is their first game. Above all, the game seeks to show a tactical space environment with a strong sense of reality. As an armored astronaut, the player is in the near future, dressed in space suits, armed with highly customizable weapons, free to fly and fight, experiencing the cosmic night.
We will have a great variety of weapons and ammunition. In addition, we can also choose between 6 characters, each of them is different, has different characteristics, with different abilities and weapons. That is, each of them is designed to have a strong tactical content. On the other hand, the maps will be something very varied, we will be from a solar farm to a space junk field, a lunar base or a museum. However, there are more maps and more will come out after launch.
It will not have a campaign, only multiplayer and the configuration of the team will be 5vs5
Meanwhile, the game modes already announced are as follows: Team Deathmatch, Free For All, as well as Facility Capture and Orbital Purge, which are based on the gameplay elements of Domination and Elimination. Multiplayer games will no doubt incorporate fast game mechanics and intense combat. Players will also be equipped with a jetpack.
Furthermore, it is loosely based on modern tactical weaponry. Boundary's arsenal will consist of pistols, machine guns, sniper rifles, and even rocket launchers, all extensively modified to be efficient in zero-gravity conditions in space. However, players can upgrade and customize their weapons and ammunition to be more lethal on the battlefield. Above all, it is a unique game so far.
To clarify, there is no release date but more content will be shown at Gamescom in Cologne from August 21-24. Next, I leave you with the trailer and with some screenshots of the game.
