BRIX IoT based on an i3-7100 announced by Gigabyte

Gigabyte announces that it will launch a new BRIX IoT based on an Intel I3-7100

Gigabyte wants to fully enter new markets and for this reason it has decided to launch a very curious device, the BRIX IoT. This device is a breakthrough in the balance between performance and energy consumption. With a passive heatsink for your Intel I3-7100 processor and a small size, you will not even notice the presence of this new mini computer.

Measuring 180mm x 117mm x 36mm, this model is slightly larger than its previous version, the GB-EKi3A-7100. However, this new model goes from an Intel Pentium of the Apollo Lake range, to a much more powerful Intel I3-7100. On the other hand we have two SO-DIMM slots for RAM memories to give a bandwidth of 32 GB / s, apart from it, it has space to include a solid state hard disk through an M.2-2280 slot under the protocol of next generation NVMe.

Moving on to talk about the connectivity of the device we find WiFi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 4.0. It is worth mentioning that we can enjoy a high quality internet connection thanks to the fact that it has a Gigabit Ethernet port. As ports we have two USB 3.0, two USB 3,1, one of these type C. Finally, the video outputs that it will have will be HDMI 2.0 and miniDisplayPort 1.2.
