Again, the French magazine Canard PC Hardware leaks information about AMD Ryzen processors, this time about the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3 processors.

AMD Ryzen processors are still in the news. The French media Canard PC Hardware has launched an interesting tweet, in which they talk about the AMD Ryzen quad-core processors, which would not be able to go beyond 3.2GHz, without overclocking, logically, thus working at frequencies well below what expected. Logically, this information is quite premature and we must take it as interesting information, but not believe it right off the bat, although Canard PC already filters information about Ryzen and has a lot of credibility.

There is no data on the specific performance of these processors, they have only allowed this pump to do, which refers to quad-core processors. We also have no data on whether it is an eight-core processor with a four-core pool disabled. AMD Ryzen processors are internally divided into two clusters or modules, with four cores each. It is not unlikely that these processors work at these frequencies, but it seems quite strange that this is the case considering that the eight-core ones reach much higher frequencies.

The French media talks about the Ryzen 1400 and Ryzen 1200, so if we go to a table, we see that the Ryzen 5 1400X has four cores and eight processing threads, while the Ryzen 3 1200X has four cores and four processing threads. Both processors should work at 3.5GHz and 3.4GHz, respectively, but in the end it seems that these base frequencies will be less. It should not be a problem, since it will compete with Intel's quad-core processors, which it should beat in price, without major difficulties.

We remember that the Ryzen 5 processors will arrive during the second quarter of this year and the Ryzen 3 will arrive at the end of this year, so we will have to wait a bit to see these processors in action and know at the frequencies they work, as well as the performance. .

    1. I doubt that 1400x will compete with the 7700 😀 If it does compete with the i5 7600k, you can count yourself lucky, it's probably a bit worse than a high-end i5.
