# CES2018: Cougar Phontum, a headset with dual graphene cameras

Cougar Phontum, the new gaming headphones, which have a dual camera system, which is coated with graphene, to practically eliminate the distortion of these headphones.

The presentations at CES 2018 do not stop and we are seeing, possibly, more presentations than last year. The last company that has presented peripherals is Cougar, who has announced some interesting headphones. Cougar Phontum, are headphones with 53mm drivers that have a dual camera system, designed to offer great sound quality. This diaphragm also has a very particular peculiarity, since it is covered with graphene, something that, according to Cougar, practically eliminates sound distortion.

Cougar, in the pack, will introduce two sets of pads, which have a different thickness, but both are filled with a memory foam, to fit well and that allows the exchange according to the needs of the user and on the use to be made. . The headband has the colors of the brand, black and orange, which is also filled with foam, which accommodates the headphones perfectly and allows it to be accommodated in an excellent way.

Regarding the response frequencies, these range from 20Hz to 20kHz, with an impedance of 32Ω, offering a sensitivity of 98dB. The microphone is flexible, so we can adjust it and it offers a response from 100Hz to 10kHz, with a sensitivity of -45dB and an impedance of 2kΩ. The cable has a four-pole 3.5mm jack connector, but the headphones have an adapter, to convert it into a three-pole audio jack and the microphone independently, to adapt to all possibilities.

The headphones, at the moment, are not for sale, although the initial price in the United States of these headphones will be $ 54.9, but according to information from Cougar, they will hit the market during this same quarter.
